  3. They need to bring back the chow. I got Frontiers on release, beat it in 3 days, then uninstalled it and never touched it again. I have hundreds of hours just in the chow garden in SAB2 and the open world of Frontiers would have been perfect to reintroduce collecting things for chows

  4. That comment about Sonic’s old design having a head that messed with the character silhouette while running in 3D kinda explains why Sonic has gotten shorter quills in recent games.

  6. The chao garden seemed like it played into the main game extremely well and gave an alternate thing to do when you felt like taking a break, and that's what made it so good. In other sonic games you just play it, get a bit bored then turn off the game to do something else, but the gameplay loop that chao garden gave made it feel much more fresh, and the fact that you unlocked them through gameplay gave you a bigger reason to explore around.

    I was never a sonic fan, but i remember watching a letsplayer manage his chao garden and i was so hooked that i watched the entirety of that 100+ part series where he explored every single bit of that minigame, and i loved it.

  7. He felt a stronger bond with Shadow than his own family? That’s fitting for someone so obsessed with Shadow and anime, and thought Sonic’s original character didn’t fit with Sonic even though the character doesn’t change at all.

  9. The biggest anger point I get for Chao in the era of Frontiers post Easter, is that we got Normal Boring Easter egg instead of the plethora of Chao Egg skins as an alternative skin for the Coco.

  11. Thank you for that wonderful camera system! The completely manual cameras in most 3D Mario and Zelda games (save for the ones designed around fixed camera angles) absolutely suck in comparison!

    No, "Super Mario Galaxy" did not copy that system, as the camera will not automatically stay behind Mario's back most of the time! You either have to constantly adjust the manual camera or awkwardly run in independent directions from the camera. Its camera is almost as bad as SM64, maybe even worse since at least SM64 provides a partially automatic camera option that's still really bad but at least better than the default completely manual option.
