  1. You know those root in the bottom? How much of that soil will be reusable and how much will you need to toss out with those extra roots? And thanks for another reveal they're always fun.

  2. Hi Ivan.
    I love pickled onions.
Can we use other varieties of onion though?
Grow them close together to restrict the size, like the cabbages.
Speaking of which, if you find the time, could you show us how the container cabbages you set going a few weeks back, are getting on?
    Many thanks.

  3. I would be very happy with that harvest. So far Iโ€™ve harvested 3 strawberries, 1 slightly deformed radish and 2 peas (slugs stripped my pea plants of everything but 2 flowers and they went on to form tiny pods with 1 pea each! ๐Ÿ˜‚) Iโ€™ll try not to eat them all at once! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I really struggle with root veg, my radishes hardly seem to bulb up and then bolt and my carrots have had really sparse germination and Iโ€™m still waiting for them to get going. Iโ€™ve just sown some more radishes, turnips and carrots in the hope that I get something to eat this year. ๐Ÿ™„

  4. I planted my first lot of carrot seeds in march same day you planted your long container carrts. Then more in may. My march ones have grown quite well. May ones need to grow quite alot more. But how long do i wait untill i harvest. How do i know when to harvest. I checked 1 carrot and it had nothing on it.

  5. Lovely harvest Ivan, makes it all worth while doesn't it, I'll be like a giddy kid when or if i get to harvest anything lol ..

  6. Hi Ivan, help please. Our onions, shallots and garlic have bolted. As we understand it they will no longer bulb up. So will not store. The question is, if we prep for the freezer or pickle, do we still need to dry them. Great videos, top of our favourites lis. John and Annette.

  7. Thanks Ivan, the carrots turned out well in the end, I can taste them now, lol. Shame about the parsnips, I don't like them anyway. Take care and all the best. Stevie

  8. Nice harvest. Your makeing me won't to do one of my carrots. So tomorrow its time. Hope I get as good as you have. ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ‘
