You all know that we have struggled with pollinators this season. We decided to purchase some bumble bees to pollinate our large high tunnel. We expect that this will give us triple the harvest that we’re seeing right now. Everything that we have harvested has been hand pollinated. Please subscribe and stay tune to see if our efforts work to aid in our pollination situation.

  1. Good idea! Praying with you that the bees come out and do their thing! πŸ˜… ❀ Look forward to seeing them buzzing around your cucumbers, squash and zucchini tomorrow!

  2. How ironic. I just received my leaf cutter bees today. They'll take about 21 days to emerge. I'll have to check out Koppert on the bees you selected. God idea.

  3. I have been kicking around the idea of buying some as well.

I have only seen about 4 Bee's in yard so far.

I have also noticed no activity around the parking lot lights at any of my local stores Kroger, Albertsons etc

I remember seeing bugs flying about the light but not anymore

  4. Jill Good luck with the newest members of North Texas Vegetable Gardening and Cooking. It's amazing how well Bees work together as a community… I'm going to enjoy watching follow-up videos with these new members… 🐝

  5. Be careful if you have neighbors spraying fields. It could kill the bees. I put Diatomaceous Earth out a couple years ago and started seeing dead bees. I haven't used it since, but the neighbors down the road sprayed the fields and so far I haven't seen any bees.

  6. I wish you and your bees all the success in the world but you may want to fix the typo in the title.

  7. I am looking forward to this!! I have seen 1 bubble bee and 1 honey bee in my garden. I'm hoping more are coming in and out. But, not sure.

  8. Excellent news! Sending prayers that they get busy and do the job for you guys!
Definitely interested in the outcome. You guys have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! God bless!

  9. Woooo hooooo πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰β€β€β€good for you!!!

  10. Hey Jill, Dora from school here. We usually have quite a few bees around, but that was also because we were throwing our coke cans in the driveway to be driven over to flatten them, to take to recycle. Well, the kids complained, because of the bees and the cans, so we have been trying to keep the cans up off the ground. So, I don't see as many bees this year. I have let a couple of the big thistles survive and have watched some bees with it and butterflies as well. Good luck on all your bees.

  11. When you said SO UH, AND UH, People in Scotland, and throughout UK don't know what you are saying……I explained it is TEXAN talk…
