Also,ube is usually used as a type of additive flavoring to native deserts,such as rice cake(Fil:"kalamay"). To add,here's a note to those who want to buy ube:When cut,ube usually has a rich,vibrant and dark purple color,while purple sweet potatoes when cut have a lilac/light lavender color.
