Hi ivan, cost of living has gone mad, went to B&M bargains today and everythings twice the price it was. £8 for a plastic pot! Cheers
Be interested in your composting techniques, mine either goes dry or too wet, getting that balance i'm finding is difficult. Lawn cuttings tend to kick it off but soon runs out of steam. Tried the 50-50 of greens and browns but not really had anything decent to call compost.
Shame about them cabbage, cheers for the basil tip 👍
Thanks for advise on basil jsut growing some in pots so I’ll plant next to tomatoes 😁
Yes well on the way to bolting those ivan. Those cabbage would make a great brassica feed chop them up and put in a barrel of water for 3 weeks. They will really stink but the next plant foods for all your brassicas going forward and free. 👍
Sad about the cabbage. I did the same with my cauliflower last week. The plants are so beautiful it's hard to do. But, like you said, it's time to move on with planting for summer.
Your Tom's have good roots Ivan, they should do well, happy Gardening let's hope they get to ripen well, I can't wait for a green house 🍅, supermarket ones have not been fit for buying just lately. ♥
Great tip about the basil and tomatoes! Thank you!
its a hard decision to make! I've got so much to plant out this weekend, I could do with the full week lol
Great video. About a month ago I gave up on the few spare cabbages I had planted in the greenhouse. You do worry me when you rest a tray of plants on the corner of a container. Keep well.
Good to see your subscriber numbers going up. Well deserved. Definitely one of my favourite channels and I never miss an episode.
👍👍
Thanks Ivan, for this great update, shame about the cabbages but they will be a really good addition to your compost. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Another great video Ivan. You are going to get a great harvest from those healthy looking toms. All mine are going in soon too. but we are inter-planting our 's with dwarf beans this time as experiment for space saving. You have encouraged us so much this year to try out inter-planting to save space . My walk around the garden today showed our 4 lettuces we inter-planted with one of early potato containers are romping away. They look as if will be ready way before harvest of the potatoes ,so i'm pleased with that space saving experiment. We will do the same now with the main potato containers we have. We trans-planted out 8 'Armstrong' runner beans 2 days ago and they are looking so good. we are going to inter-plant celery with them in centre of the rows to see if it works. The other side has firestorm and they are not looking too good. Never grown Armstrong before so I'm really impressed how strong looking they are, will be growing those again if they taste good. All my mixed salad tubs will be picked again over the weekend, thanks to all your container tips. Friday is our day off from gardening so we have been catching up with your older video's, we really like your beer garden, please do a update soon. Happy gardening everyone 🙂
Sorry about the cabbages Ivan, they will help make good compost. All the best with the tomatoes. Congratulations on 60.3k followers. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Ivan. Thanks for the tip about Basil. I grow quite a lot as love it but didn’t know it was a good companion plant for Tomatoes. 👍
