  1. Planted Amsterdam solo a month ago… nothing materialised. Gutted as a newbie, first time growing for season. Will try again tho.

  2. Here in Texas we plant carrots in the late fall and grow them over winter. It's too hot to grow them in the spring. I've already pulled mine and canned them.

  3. Thanks Ivan, for a great update, enjoy the carrots. Moved my tomatoes up to 10L pot today. Thanks for sharing.

  4. I love unveiling root veg its like unwrapping a present! Small carrots have great taste. I have pulled ones that didn't seem to have a big stem but the actual carrot was huge! And like you, big heavy stem and tiny carrot!

  5. Thanks Ivan, for this great update on the container carrots and moving on with the little gem lettuce planting. Take care and all the best. Stevie

  6. Ivan, when you thin the carrots, could the pulled out carrots be replanted in another container?

  7. I’m new to planting and have learnt so much from you already! Thank you so much 😊

  8. How lovely. Nice video, Ivan.
Thinning carrots and beets before dark and having the thinnings and Little Gem cuttings with dinner.
New sowing of Little Gems are peeking through but no spinach yet.
Best spring results yet, thank you.

  9. Hi Ivan. Absolutely fantastic videos. So detailed for those of us that gardening doesn't come naturally. You pretty much tell me/show everything I need to know and I might even have some success this year! You're just what I've been looking for. Thank you! Love from Yorkshire.

  10. We grew carrots last autumn in tubs and they are a good size but sooooo bitter. Where did we go wrong? I used the leaves to make carrot top pesto with almonds basil garlic Parmesan and olive oil. Delicious lol
