I hate to say this and hope I’m wrong but anytime I’ve had a graft go oozy it’s because it’s deteriorating or rotting. Try regrafting with healthy tissue on both the stock and scion and this time try keeping everything as sterile as possible. Sometimes even if you do that they’ll still fail. Don’t feel bad if you lose one or two, I’ve lost too many to count and have only a handful of successful grafts. Hope this helps!

Edit: try Saran Wrap instead of a plastic bag for more uniform pressure.

It’s rotting. These guys need to breath when grafted, I wouldn’t recommend a bag over it

Agree it needs to be re done. Make sure to sterilize the blade. And don’t completely seal it up. I like to use just long rubber bands to apply pressure for a week and leave in open air

If you act fast, you can cut out the rot and try again. I find that using large rubber bands works really well. It applies enough pressure that the cut end is sealed against the root stock so it doesn’t dry out and it allows airflow to prevent rot

Larger grafts only need pressure. Only seedling grafts or super tiny scions require humidity.
Try pantyhose next time alot more breathable or electrical tape with a square inch piece of paper towel placed between the scion & stock.🙂
