High desert weeds, O my! It is satisfying to see them out. Love the orchard!
So beautiful. I love the bulb tour. Hope to see more in the next week or two!
I purchased a Japanese-made weeding knife which is very sharp. We inherit our neighbor's weeds that grow into our lawns and flower beds. Preen helps slow down the weed growth, never used landscape cloth, because I don't believe it is worth the trouble. This year I want to plant micro clover to reduce the spread of weeds. 😊
Why on earth would you NOT put gardening in every video?! Clothing- every video please. Events? Yes please, every video, don’t forget close 📷ups of every tablescape & all the decor. 😂
❤
Inspired by your videos, I planted 50 Menton tulips last fall, zone 6, NE Kansas. Well, they are SPECTACULAR! They have been in full bloom for 3 weeks with no sign of fading yet AND they have lived through 3 brief hail storms and one night down to 30 degrees. I cannot believe how sturdy and tall they are, and the color is beautiful. Thanks for inspiring us to try new things!
It’s so fun to see the progress of all of those thousands of bulbs you have planted
Feels like you just planted all these tulips. Time flies but with gardening that’s a good thing sintimes.😅
I love that the old formal garden is gone now. Something about the open, expansive view from the back of the Hartley to the new area makes the property feel like a grand estate. When the trees fill in along the back garden with a great pond, it’ll feel like a serene park area. Is it necessary to create another wall of plants to separate the area?
In areas like concrete and gravel you can hit those weeds with a torch. Butane I think. It kills them then you can pick up when dry or leave them. It's also burns the seeds off of them.
Thanks for showing us your beautiful blooms. You give me hope for my yard!
If you like to watch restoration shows, I recommend Ludo Meilink, a young man in the Netherlands who is renovating a 117 year old house in his town with the help of his father and his friends. Just type Ludo Meilink in the search and you will find his vlogs.
Wow girl you just go you are so energetic I don't know how you do it I would have gone crazy if I had to do that kind of weeding an area like that
In Denmark "Sanne" is a girls name, and the A is a flat A, pronounced like the first A in Alaska… Depending on how you pronounce it of course 😬😁😎 In Germany it would be more like "ah", like you pronouced it. Whatever the pronunciation, it is gooorgeous 💗
Will you save your bulbs want to leave have faded and turned yellow for next yea?. Or do you buy new bulbs every year?
My weeding tool is from my great grandparents. It's similar but with a long handle so I can stand and pop those babies. TIP is to drive straight down first then pop it out to get all the roots.
Try a “Grandpa’s Weeder” pulls them right up root & all while you stand!
You have the best smile…..and garden.
How do you keep the squirrels out of the tulips? My yard is being massacred by them. I planted over 500 and only have 75 .
Dutch person here. Sanne as a Dutch name is indeed pronounced how you pronounced it at 2:30. Well done!
Won’t snakes hang out in your tall grass in the orchard?
So satisfying to watch you weed! Gives me hope for my own lawn, just wish it was just as fast as your speedy video version 😅😍
How do you keep track of where you have planted to keep from damaging plants when adding new plants? Do you have a map?
Nice video! That new week picker is my go too! It’s the best!
Aaron, when are you going to add an flag pole with an American Flag?
The first weeding tool you used you dig the prongs into the ground round the base of the plant up to the arched bit and then use the arch part against the ground to lever the weed out and the root should pop out with it 👍
🥰❤️✅
This is so satisfying to me to see weeds being removed!
