  1. working on this right now! have many trees in my grow tent! leafing out wayyyyy early…is this a good idea? will i have to slowly acclimate them to the lower outdoor humidity????

  2. If you guys have experience with air layers, a good episode topic would be how to air layer a branch from a grafted maple.

  3. Nice series! So what am I going to call you two? Bonsai Bro's, Tek 2 do Bonsai, Thump and Bump bite the Bonsai. lol

  4. There are lots of different techniques I have seen for bonsai. I think the important thing is to have fun and do it in a way that works for you. Thanks for more bonsai videos!

  5. There are rules in bonsai but I think we can’t be following those too strictly unless it’s one’s preference.
For me, it’s nice to follow the guidelines to lessen the confusion. With my experience, wiring should be limited coz I am bad at it. Cut and grow is more for me.
Watering also depends on what kind of pot, the substrate, the tree itself and the weather.
The shape of the pot and the tree will guide you where it should be positioned, in the middle or on the side.

  6. Spraying the roots with water also loosens the soil and make it easy to spread them. Cutting the tap root and leaving the feeder roots are supposed to be helpful too.
