๐ฑFall balcony garden and backyard garden are slowly closing down as we inch toward winter. It is time to harvest fall vegetables and clean up some garden beds. As I grow vegetables in urban small space gardens, it’s always a struggle to find a space to compost all the garden & kitchen waste. There’s just not enough space. This fall, I’m trying trench composting in place, and a little bit of chop and drop composting.

I always feel sad when I'm clearing out the plants thinking how green it was, gave me so much now I have to take it out bcoz it is done….but the thought of yeah I'm going to grow more in next season make me happy.

It was my first yr of planting veges seriously here in England, the happiness you get when u harvested it is incomparable even I only managed to harvest few. Now is crispy autumn here and me and husband already clearing up our garden till next spring,even I wish its continuously growing whole year round, I now appreciate much the tropical season in the place where I grew up where u can plant veges fruits for how ever long….
