  1. I'm excited to see you growing a vanilla bean orchid! It definitely looks too hard for me to do any time soon, but I will enjoy growing it vicariously though you! I'm always on the lookout for productive shade-loving plants, since I have such a shady garden.

  2. That's definitely me – feeling behind and not ahead of where I should be. My shoulders & ulnar nerves have been giving me so much grief, it's been slowly slowly this year. I've got my beetroot, Kohl rabi and cauli seeds (from Down 2 Earth) popping up this week which is fab though. And my Cos, Rocket, English Spinach, Spring Onions & Rainbow Chard I planted 3 weeks ago are coming along well.

This weekend I'll reset my pots and plant out some other seeds I've been raising. And hoping I can build up some soil in a patch and plant in my sweet potato slips.

Thank you so much for your raised bed tips!

  3. Thanks for sharing your awesome tips again! I have a few seedlings that I need to pot up or plant out soon but I’m trying to harden them up because I’m worried they’ll die on me again 😅. I’m slowly learning. I grew 2 papaya trees from seeds and 1 was volunteer but unfortunately they still haven’t fruited yet. I’m guessing they’re both male plants or I need to put them into bigger pots 🤔

  4. Re cutting plants at the end of life at the base so the roots break down in the ground. I did this with little capsicums and they grew back to full size very quickly (i guess because of the good root system) and are covered in little capsicums now. Its not what i expected at all but im pleased.
