I think this winter has been a long and cold one
How right you are; slow growth on seedlings and winds coming tonight. Mature peas & greens are getting harvested little by little and oh, so sweet with the cold. We will be in the high 60s F in the next several days in zone 9b.
Your container garden will be colorful.
Beautiful cabbages, like Durham cathedral. I visited once Durham old cathedral, early morning, still dark, no one else there but me and quiet huge cathedral.. I felt kind of holy moment. Have a happy easter monday Ivan
We've had hailstones! I started sorting my strawberry plants and got pelted.
Cracking channel mate- im in the midlands and the weather has been insane. I planted up my carrots, parsnips, spring onions and cauli but we had a monsoon so I suspect I’ll have to reseed. I agree with that you say about things growing slow- they must know something we don’t!
Thanks for the update Ivan, sown some beetroot today. Same weather here in in Wales, watch out for the rain gales. Thanks for sharing.
Same warning for us in Scotland Ivan. Roll on warmer calmer weather
Thanks Ivan, for this great update and you're right about the weather as it's done everything but snow today and it's been getting more windy as the day has gone along. Take care and all the best. Stevie
OOOO im growinf Durham too!
We've gone from too cold to grow to little plants bolting already. I saw my spinach and pok choi is already trying to flower. They aren't much bigger than the cabbage you are potting up today.
👍👍
Our durham earlys done well, we need to start hardening off ready for first week in May… our greenhouse is bursting 😂
Great content 👌
I should’ve watched these two cabbage ones in order…before asking questions 😂🤣 I just need patience 🙄
Would l be able to grow some cabbages in containers please? TIA
