I AM GROWING SUGAR CANE FOR THE FIRST TIME AND IT IS HAD NOT COMING UP SO WELL EITHER. MAYBE IT'LL START ONCE WE START TO HEAT UP??? THANKS FOR THE VIDEO KING AND BHEVS.
When I had my big gardens, I spent about 30 hours per week, that included 2 hours per day to water them. I am disabled now, and cannot go into the sun. So, my husband built me a container garden right behind the house. Black pond plastic sheet with pallets ontop. Also, I have an indoor garden in a custom built bay window that faces south, im growing a cabbage, green onions, and started strawberries and a Roma tomato plant. Iโve always had a green thumb. I have magnificent house plants which I groom and baby. To me, having plants indoors, since we live in a Grow Zone 4 where itโs cold much of the year, is essential. They clean the air, and are wonderful to look at. Having a container garden is different than planting in the ground. Best to have raised beds but money is tight right now. Iโve researched it and itโs expensive to get bags of correct soil to fill one. Iโm doing the best I can with what I can afford and in the limited window of the growing season. I make time each day to tend to my plants, itโs a ritual and not a burden in my eyes. I would say, this summer I would spend about an hour tending to my plants each day, in the evenings after dinner, and do things slowly. Itโs the best time of my day, very relaxing.๐
Funny! I went out for an hour today itโs overcast and threatening to rain but I know the heat is coming so doing it now so I donโt pass out later๐.
