  1. Hi there. Could u tell me if the houses around u live on the aquifer as well.? Or do they pay for water?

  2. At the end of the video, when Laura is talking about the drip. What connection is used to connect the 1/4” brown drip tube to the 1/2” supply line? (I saw the video with the drip tape…..but can’t find the part for the 1/4” tube…)

  3. I so want to be excited to start planting this year, but we had such a horrible Japanese Beetle infestation that it makes me very hesitant to start. That makes me sad. I love it so much when Russell comes to you for attention. He is so loving to you. Great job today. Can’t wait to see how it does.

  4. Hi Laura🌺 well done wonderful work the seeds will grow well for you also the cabbage and others. Have anice day🌻 🌺🌻

  5. 🙋🏽‍♀️🌷🥦🌼💗🌲🌺🌿💐🌳🌻🪴🌸🌱🌹💚🧅🥕

  6. I noticed a soaker hose you have in your raised gardens. Where can I purchase those? Thank you for your videos. Love ‘em!

  7. What!!! You don't eat celery. What about ants on a log for the kids. Celery filled with peanut butter topped of with raisins. The best treat.

  8. Do you happen to have cameras out there? I wonder if Russell and Cheddar use those compacted areas to sunbathe 😂

  9. I planted my onion starts and 4 days later they look really droopy. Any idea how long I should wait for them to perk up before I pop in replacements?

  10. Maybe the compacted soil is where the cats lay in the sun??? Or a non domestic critter?😎✌🏻

  11. Hey Russell. Great start to seeding. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

  12. This is kind of random, but I am a bit off put by an onion being named “candy.” It just seems so un-oniony. Also, they have “cotton candy” grapes at Costco and I’m sure some people love them. I however, thought they were absolutely way too sweet.

  13. I'm so excited to see your beds fill in! We filled out first raised beds this year and have harvested our first veggies. It's such a satisfying feeling to eat something you grew from seed.

  14. Time and experience are indeed our teachers. I think it’s a great idea to plant the only veggies you use as a family.

  15. Good morning Laura and family 👩‍👩‍👦‍👦and🐈
Yum veggies, love it when you give them away at your parents garden nursery. When will you be starting on Monica's yard I'm anxious to watch the video. Thank you for sharing, have a wonderful rest of the day. 👋🙂🌱🧄🧅🥦

  16. Spring is in southern Manitoba (zone 3b). I cannot wait for the yard to dry up a bit and get in the gardens 🌞🌱🌷

  17. We (coastal NC) are having glorious rain this am. I have a couple of ongoing projects I am itching to get done. But while I wait for the rain to stop, I will scratch my itch watching Laura plant.

  18. Spinach is a natural estrogen. Please eat in moderation. Too much can mess with your hormones and can lead to breast cancer. I’m living proof,…✨

  19. How exciting you got your veggie garden planted! Looking forward to seeing what else you plant in your raised beds. You guys get so much done in a day.

  20. Why not pop the power planter auger in those compacted spots before planting?? They’re not just for digging holes — the augers are GREAT for mixing soil, concrete, breaking up clumps, etc. ❤ my power planter augers!

  21. 👋Good morning and Happy Friday, Laura!!!!
I agree with you, 100%; only grow crops that your family enjoys and you all eat.👌👍
    👋Hi Russell!!! 🐈
WOWWWW! Raised beds have come to Life. Great job, Laura!!!
    Have a Blessed and Beautiful day/night/weekend 🌞/🌜✨️⭐️🌟⭐️✨️ 🌐 everyone!!!

  22. Never mind! You are so thorough you answered towards the end. Thank you! (I’m curious: is that 1/4” or 1/2” drip hose in the raised bed garden? I have 1/4” and it doesn’t seem to be my best choice for good results.)

  23. Awwww I just Love this kitty. HE is always fun to see… You are always amazing to watched…. You inspired me to be better. You are such a power house with everything you juggle. Love it. keep it up.

  24. Would love to see the arrangement your mother made with the lettuce pots you brought over.

  25. Laura, I see your boxwoods in the background and am wondering when you will trim/shape those up? My weather is similar to yours right now ( 80 one day and 45 the next day). Great to see planting outdoors begin!

  26. The weeping willow by the vegetable garden is starting to glow with new growth! Beautiful. And the raised beds look fantastic.

  27. Thumbs up for Russell! He is getting a bit of a fan club. The weather in costal Washington is still cool and cloudy so veggie planting is still delayed here. I am itching to get going. Loved this video.

  28. Hey there! I have had the same issue with my raised beds over the years especially when I first built them. I found the answer to the problem of getting dry compacted sides and corners in beds build with wood. It is caused by the wood simply wicking moisture out of the soil on the side that is most exposed to direct sun. Depending on your set up sometimes adding a layer of pebbles between the wood and soil helps or just use something that separates it and it will fix the issue! I have also used just a double layer of wood in the past and that has worked. I have also created thin beds that ring the main bed and plant that with herbs or marigolds or whatever will provide shade for the side of the main bed . 😊

  29. Laura do you count the depth of your compost in to how deep you're planting your seeds? Such as those pea seeds.

  30. Use gypsum! You can spot place gypsum over the row you are having compaction. I wish it would be perpetual in softening but you have to reapply every year if you need it. I have clay so you see what I mean now. I love your garden!

  31. I guess the whole country is late planting due to this unusual winter. I’m looking forward to seeing all of our harvests. Hopefully it will be stellar.

  32. Last few years I wait until you start your vegetable garden it lets me know to also get at it,it is so rewarding when it's time to harvest. I also only plant what we will eat. Have a blessed day everyone 😊

  33. Flying to western Oregon today , think the pilot would drop down a bit for me to view your gardens 😅 As soon as I get back I want to plant my raised beds full , you inspired me .
