  1. Great tips. Amazingly one of the hardiest things in my yard was 2 palm varieties, Sabal minor and Needle Palms. Sky pencil holly, Oak leaf holly, nandina, skip laurel and others completely toasted.

  2. That Christmas freeze was so strange in what it killed and what was sparred: I have a Camellia next to a Buddeleja and the Camellia lived and the Butterfly Bush is toast.

  3. My English boxwoods did fine even in pots but I think the azaleas Budleah's and Loropedalums are all Gonner's.. I'm going to wait a little longer before I decide.

  4. Our cherry laurels bit the dust. Everything else is getting some buds. Our Holly trees are barely holding on. We shall see.

  5. Pretty sure all my crape myrtles are dead. I had gotten several of the black diamond variety on sale at the end of the season… I was hopeful about one but it seems the last freeze took care of it..
On the plus side it seems like everything else did fine !
