Never cared for trees and shrubs around the outside of the house. Magnet for pest, vermin and make it easier for fire to get the house.

You're getting it done! I'm so glad that battery powered yard tools have come a long way. I've converted almost all my yard tools to Ego battery power.
Best security system; thorny and skin Irrigating plants and srubs in the bed right outside the window; when they comes back just trim them a little bit above the window seal.

Another awesome yard work my friend!! I always do my yard early in the morning. Specially in the summer. Stay hydrated and be safe. 👍👍

I would transplant it in the fall but if you do decide to dig it up right now would be a good time just drown the space mulch it and try to get a decent rootball
So for the most part when transplanting shrubs if you disrupt some of the roots it’s good to take off at least 1/3 of the plant so you already did that and if you dig it out it’ll focus on the growth it has left and it’ll be easier because the branches aren’t as long
You are so handy! Gardens always need more work than people think. Wouldn’t have it any other way though 🙂

Once you’ve gotten the desired shape, next time just do a surface trim. Just lightly remove the new growth👍🏽
