Man, I took your wisdom on growing in clay soil over to my new house. The whole yard is nothing but compacted clay. I spent all this winter burying whole buckets of compost directly in to where I wanted my garden to be. I tilled in some peat and covered it with chopped leaves. In just the last 4 months it's undergone a whole transformation. It's gotten dark, soft and crumbly. A whole bunch of worms have moved into it. I'm so happy with it and it was only a few minutes here and there to achieve all that. I think I spent like $20 on the peat and everything else I used was free. I can't thank you enough for putting this content out there man.

I pick up large bags of used coffee grounds from local coffee shops, then add them to the soil, on top. Super good for the soil. Worms love used coffee grounds.
Do you worry about chemical run off from other yards?
This is the 3rd short I've watched from you and I'm subscribing. Your speaking to my exact questions and situation. I live in Tennessee and our soil is so clay-y that i really needed to watch this and read the other comments. Cheers!
