  1. I have over 1000 seedlings growing in soil blocks with great germination EXCEPT my Dusty Miller New Look. Only 1 of 50 seeds germinated, in a month, so I’ve transplanted verbena bonariensis seedling into those blocks. With my luck the Dusty Miller will finally sprout; if so, I’ll thin out the verbena. FYI: my Dusty Miller silver dust looks great!

  2. What if you want to pull your bulbs from containers and store them, rather than plant them outside? Also – have you peeked at the dahlias you left in the ground? When will you uncover them?

  3. Can you transplant bulbs that are already planted in the ground during the spring as well or should they wait until fall?

  4. Perfect timing. I was given a Hyacinth and I'm moving so I don't want to plant outside yet. They're still very green. I will do this after moving.
    Thanks🙂

  5. I was missing GA this morning so I got up and starting planting my seedlings and direct sowing Zinnias. I could not believe my eyes this morning when I had to stop planting and run to the nursery to get potting soil and on my way out I spotted some white PW cans and yes it was Truffula Pink Gomphrena I snapped up 12 of them. The nursery never has PW plants. Laura is influencing nurseries. Thank you Jesus. TP Gomphrena is Hardy in my zone 8a. One of my favs.

  6. The Hartley looks so cluttered with all those small pots. I expected to see big beautiful palms and ferns inside.

  7. Spring is ending ! And i still had many tulip and daffodils and iris bulbs ,
    What to do with them?

  8. I live in zone 10 so I don't think It's okay to plant my spent bulbs in the ground , is it okay to take them out of the pots and put them in the freezer? of yes do I need to take them out and plant them early ?

  9. I bought hyacinths (Carnegie, Purple Sensation, & Yellowstone) from Color Blends in fall last year. First of all, wow they’re beyond gorgeous with larger blooms than I’ve seen before!
*Question: Mine have had multiple bloom stocks coming out of a single bulb, both before and after I’ve cut the first spent stock off…did you experience that with yours? Is that normal?
Definitely not complaining because getting more life out of these is amazing since they’re so gorgeous!

  10. Did I spy a more completed stone pathway? And were those conifer type plants in the bonanza border the arbs they pulled from the fence line? Impressive if so.

  11. 😢 I can't watch, I am so bad about trying to keep ever seedlings. I need to get better at thinning. 😅

  12. Good Afternoon! 🌞 I did not realize that you can plant container grown bulbs in the ground for next season! I will have to remember this when I order bulbs! I do enjoy your videos!! 😃🪻🌷💚

  13. If you've done a video like this before, I've missed it. I've wondered and wanted to see this step every single time you've planted bulbs in containers!!! My wish list video 😍😁

  14. Love your videos and I’m inspired each and every time. Do you have a map of where you plant things so you know for later when you plant things later?

  15. I'm wondering if amaryllis bulbs have ever been successfully transplanted in the the garden? Thankyou.

  16. What is the span of time of each life cycle stages for hyacinths? Any suggestions on how to save their bulbs if planted in the tropical climate area with high humidity? Thanks & love your gardening estate experience.

  17. Someone please chime in!
I’m kind of on an opposite side of this. 😅 I shallowly planted one group of tulips (as an annual) and they’re coming up nicely.
I’m hoping I can pot them up as Spring gift arrangements for my daughters. What do think? Will they get so mad they won’t continue to put on a show? I love buying sale tulips when I find them, but a place to safely overwinter terracotta pots is a non option.

  18. Thank you for the video today.😊😊 Just so you know, it's ok to take a day off once in a while! 💜💜
I say this, having just worked 34 days in a row! (I'm a caregiver and also a personal gardener for private clients)

One thing I love about watching your videos is how you always say things like, "we thinned 6 flats," as if 'we' were right there beside you. It truly makes me feel like you've included 'us' in everything you're doing in the garden.
Question~~ "When I rewatch your videos, do you get paid again for the view? I do watch the ads, too, so assuming you do get paid again, I'm hoping it helps you get paid more. 😊
I always watch your recap videos on the GA Highlights channel at least twice, sometimes 3 times. So I can soak in all the info!
Thank you for sharing your garden, and your lives with us. 💜💜

  19. I have loved your videos since I discovered your channel a few years ago. But I took a year or so hiatus because I was just so envious of your growing zone (I was in zone 9a for Houston, TX for 10 years) and felt so limited in what I wanted to grow (I had great success with figs and camellias, but I wanted to grow iris and spruce, for example). I moved recently to zone 6b and I am so much happier now (for many reasons, but an important one is enjoying gardening again). Thank you for being a great inspiration and for always putting out great content. ❤

  20. Is it possible to store the bulbs some way so you can repot them into pots the following year? Thank you

  21. I need to plant my forced bulbs too as soon as it warms up a bit, I don’t like to work outside when it is really cold.

  22. Benjamin looks Bummed – out Momma is always working 😏 🙂 … Laura does he know that his Momma Is A Super Star 🌟 👩‍🌾 Everyone Adores You ❤ Yup

  23. I really do not know if you see or read all these messages, but I have a small concrete garden art that I make for you and your Mom.

  24. The bulb planting of already forced bulbs was so helpful. Perfect timing. Much needed information. You are the BEST!

  25. All the snapdragons look so healthy and vibrant, why not separate to multiply the crop, or do you already have too many?

  26. I am so jealous of your soil in the south garden. Was it always that nice and airy or have you done a lot of soil amending? I live in the Seattle area, zone 8b and my soil is either hard pan or clay. A couple of years ago I added compost and rototilled a flower bed. The very next year, I could hardly dig a hole. I use a small power planter auger and that is also a struggle. Help!

  27. Question: for the bulbs that have been in the ground for a year or so, when and how do you fertilize them? Thanks for always sharing your knowledge 🙏

  28. I'M SAD THE CHILDREN ARE GROWING SO FAST! (sweet sorrow) BENJAMIN LOOKED SO BIG WALKING UP TO THE HOUSE. HE IS SUCH A SWEET NATURED LITTLE BOY! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME PARENTS!
I REALLY ENJOY SEEING SAMANTHA SHE IS SO ADORABLE AND VERY MUCH HER OWN LITTLE SELF.
EVERY THING YOU TWO ARE DOING IS AMAZING! DUE TO HEALTH I DO NOT COMMENT EVERYDAY BUT I WATCH IT ALL! LOVE TO ALL OF YOU

  29. Hey sweet lady, I saw your picture in my Proven Winner’s catalog for this year! You looked darling sitting with the Caladiums! I am going to have to try some this year! Hugs from Utah!

  30. That is cool to plant them all out. how will u remember they are there tho and not keep diggin em up , thinking u have an empty space. I grew them one year but they didn't look as full as they do on the packets. I love snaps so much but get powdery mildew here real bad. Nothing beats a good dirt hill to play on !

  31. Hi Laura! Thank you for sharing this video on bulbs. Love to see the updates on your seedlings! I don't like thinning my snapdragons, I feel bad doing this as I am so proud that my seedlings grew 😥, as I don't have much luck with growing seeds. Love your videos!! Have a great weekend!

  32. Question
Why wouldn't you re-use the new soil that planted those bulbs in for something else or was there some contamination? Just seems wasteful.
