Thank you Ivan. We have heavy clay soil with bad drainage and harash winter up here in the north so most of my herbs wont survive the winter. Perhaps I should plant them in containers. Salvia, rosemary, thyme are struggling but chives make it.
I have herbs in containers that survived winter, namely sage, thyme, rosemary and parsley. I'm going to try growing them in the poundshop stackable tubs. As well as strawberries.
Thanks for this Ivan, never grown herbs, but I will be sowing herbs this year. Thanks for sharing.
Ivan
Do you keep that bubble wrap on through the season.
Ivan, I have just the right trough for your herb garden idea. Two spinach seedlings I found with the beets are going to be happy in it. I have rosemary, lavender, oregano, thyme and mint rooted cuttings that will be happy growing together instead of being in pots. I watched just in time as I was going to give them away. Oh, my!
Ivan
Won't that mint fully take over that container.
Now you've got me wondering where I put my mint pots…… can't remember what I did with them last fall. The snow just finally melted and I guess I'll go look for them today 🙂 After I plant out the peas… The weather is supposed to be 20 degrees (F) colder than normal this week, maybe I'll wait on the peas after all. 🥶
