Early Morning Walk, Talking about Growing Zucchini in a pot in my compost in place tub, container, so fascinating how the microorganisms moved into the squash with Tiny Holes SO FAST.
Microbes in My Garden Containers Squash Zucchini in Pot Earthworms on the Move

I saw that as soon as you showed the plant 😊 that is just too cool!!!!
🙂
Maybe moving it into the bin shaded its roots – giving relief from all the heat that's been happening?
That is one beautiful zucchini plant, it's so amazing, I have been composting in bins, like you, I'm going to plant, some squash in pots and start laying in these compost bins , tell gary, my son in law has a tree service, and he is loading down with wood chips!
great video. i have a bin with compost. i have a zucchini in a pot. i will try it, placethe pot in the bin and see if it makes a difference.
All that microbiology is able to "digest" the Plant exudates including saps, gums, latex, and resin. Plant roots and seeds exudate a variety of molecules into the rhizosphere, including acids, sugars, polysaccharides and ectoenzymes; this can account for 40% of root carbon. So the more microbes and the like, would give the plant exponentially more "breathing room" while they chow down (even with the tiny holes along side your pot). Thanks for sharing. This what I've been observing while growing inside of composting woodchips.
Thank you for sharing your great information 💕
Yum! Robbie, you grow the prettiest zuchinni…I would have to make vegetarian chili with that zuchinni. And it would taste great w your egg recipe… OK, now I'm hungry. LOL Better not forget to eat what I grow, right Gary? Love you guys!
Well isn't that wonderful!! A happy accident, that teaches a lesson. 😉
That zucchini plant is huge! Love it! That is so interesting, how huge it is with out getting any help, that so awesome . Hope you guys are staying cool. The heat here is getting a bit better 😊
I had a squash in raised bed, flowered, died back.i put a piece of squash and papaya over to side of it. It within 2 days got dark green and many leaves.it was a miracle.ive started my compost in place pots now.thanks for info.
Amazing
Robbie and Gary : I think that the compost bin is giving off "living" gasses , that are absorbed by the roots !!!!
What do you think !!!!????
I believe it's the earthworms. They can move up into those holes. Microbes can't move by themselves at great distances (it would be like us walking to the moon) they need carriers like animals, insects or moving water. My take, it's the earthworms.
Thanks for the wonderful video!
What a wonderful surprise
How to get the eath worms in your main pots without putting them in there ?
I am very inspired to see this♡ thanks 🙂
Robbie, this is fing MINDBLOWING!!! You are so observant, thank goodness, because it benefits us all so much! Who would’ve thought? I’m so excited..Putting my five newish herbs into my still empty layered bins TODAY! Wow, the weren’t even touching! And looking much better even by the next day. Thank you for knowing about microbes so you could put two and two together for us and for you! So fun. Thank you.
❤️❤️❤️
I wish people agreed more. . . I've also read that the ants are not pollinating, but they taking the pollen. Not sure which is true.
