Great tip to start stocking up and getting all your supplies organized now! Nothing more frustrating than needing some soil, fertilizer, etc. and having to run all over town trying to find it.
Fellow Chicagoan here. I got my list started too. I got onions, sweet potatoes starting to sprout up. They wont be planted until late spring. Im gonna start my indoor seed germination around mid March (peppers, melons). You think its ok to get started on direct sowing on lettuce and cabbage here? I know its about 34 degrees here, but I was thinking of doing my cold weather crops first, but I fear it may be too cold.
I would love to see how you set up your water drip irrigation system. I live in zone 9a so I am already harvesting arugula and radishes, since this is my first year. Can’t wait until you start your garden.

Radishes and tulips what a novel idea!😂 Might have to try that companion combo.
