  1. Please Please PLEASE add text for the names of the different seeds. I was glad to see pics but I am left to try to figure out how to spell these new to me names and I do t bother screenshotting or shopping.

  2. Super excited to see that you pick bellflowers, last year I decided to grow them. Was a little sad that they say it's a biennial for me. I'm zone 4b is it an annual for you?

  3. Fun fact..since i live in tropical climate, we usually got heavy rain.. in my area, we got flood at least once a month.. hibiscus and mint can withstand flood..

  4. I wonder why Johnny’s hasn’t reached out to you. You’ve used and promoted them for years.

  5. Can't wait to see some of the arrangements you make from all those flowers. Your yard is going to be so colorful and beautiful 😍

  6. I’ve watched you start seeds for a few years now but each year I get more confident in doing this task. What seems monotonous to you is invaluable to me. 🌸🤗

  7. Thank you for another great seed starting day! Have you ever started lavender from seed? I’m struggling to find good seedling care instructions. Most info I found was just on the seed starting with a disclaimer that they’re hard to seed start! I know that as bigger plants they like poor soil and not a lot of moisture, but at what point ? If I pot them up, do I start watering less and add sand to the soil? I know this isn’t an annual question, but I figured if anyone would know, it would be Garden Nancy (Laura) 😂

  8. Love this! I am growing some of the same flowers for the first time. Hearing about the pollinators and statice has made me decide to keep more of the seedlings I was going to give sell. Love your information!!!

  9. Thank you for doing these seed starting videos. Because of them – this is the first year I have grow lights, a few trays, and starting seeds indoors. But I’m nervous – I don’t want to lose any precious baby plants! My geraniums are all up and doing great. Thanks for inspiring and giving me confidence to try something new ❤

  10. Many many people are saying it already, but holy cow Ken is doing awesome work. I have noticed the past couple videos from the highlights channel have been stepped up editing wise. Ever since the beautiful garden video where that question asked for more circles 😂😂 And as always, Laura you are making the end of winter brighter and easier to tolerate. I can’t wait for Spring!

  11. I read about a fan creating strong plants due to helping build strong stem muscles. Is that why you're doing it? Or is it keep excess moisture at bay? Can you speak to that?

  12. Looking for seed starting trays. Soo many option out there!!! Where do you get yours and what size are they? (I noticed the jiffy humidity domes)

  13. Sowing seeds is really exciting! It’s lovely to see what seeds you are sowing. I bought loads of seeds last summer from a store that were selling them at a low price . Since January I have sown lots (too many to mention) . Last weekend me and my sons each sowed a sunflower of each variety (we have 8 varieties) looking forward to seeing who’s grows the tallest 😁 .

  14. wow! talk about inspiration!! i have to remind myself that i don't have 5 acres to plant or a greenhouse 🤪🤣 i want them all! 😂so many varieties to look for and see how they do in my zone 10b… maybe it's time to finally take out the grass in the front and just plant rows and rows of flowers, wouldn't that be pretty?? ahhh, dreamin'… i love the anticipation of all these little seeds growing and turning into beautiful plants… nature is amazing!!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤

  15. Did you put the bell flowers on the floor in the big green house? I was wondering how you solved the problem of them needing to be cooler?

  16. Never apologize for seed starting! We love to see the start to finish! Thank you for sharing your learned info! ❤️❤️🌱🪴

  17. Wow Laura, you have the patience of Job. At 17:45 you were planting teeny tiny seeds and all I could think was, "no way".
And yes, I also will be purchasing seeds from Johnny's! Thank you again for another well produced video. 🌱🥰💚

  18. Don’t apologize for multiple seed starting videos. I love them and by comments it seems I’m not alone. I love seeing the different flowers you are planting as seeds. It gives me ideas- way too many actually! This was a lovely video. Thanks for the good start to my day. And now I go paint.

  19. Thanks for sharing your method for planting those tiny seeds in flats! I’m sure this will help control over seeding.

  20. Do you ever think about what your life would be like if you never started Garden Answer? Would you still be at the town house? Would you have tried to move to more acres? Out of state? I'm so thankful you did start the channel because everything I know is because of you!

  21. I was trying to find information online but no luck. I leave the humidity dome on until I see life , my quandary is if about half sprouted and the rest might still pop , how long can I get away with leaving the dome on ? Same with the heat mat ? I always think there might be hope that more sprout . Also any clue why some seeds do this ? I can have some healthy growing little seedlings in the same variety same tray and some cells simply don’t germinate. User error ?

  22. Good morning Laura and family
I'm excited to see all those seedlings when there ready for planting. Thank you for sharing. Have a great rest of the day. 👋🙂🌱🌻🌸🌷

  23. Hi Laura the Chabaud La France are the size of a small carnation! They are really pretty, I decided to plant them again along with the apricot color! Used the Hortonova netting because they were floppy for me! ❤️

  24. I’m trying some of the same seeds as you this year and you’ve given me some other great ideas for next year! I was wondering what type of grow light bulbs you use that doesn’t require you to lower or raise them? Thanks!

  25. @gardenanswer Thanks for this seed starting reminder and update on lessons learned. Those flowers are going to be LOVELY choices!!
While I know it wasn’t sponsored, kinda wish it was… or you had some affiliation, bc I LOVE Johnny’s seeds & it would be AWESOME if U could get a coupon code for ur viewers…
Plus, *undoubtedly*, alot of ppl (like ALOT) are going to order ALOT of their seeds on your recommendation (& prob a lot of the same ones U mentioned, as well) whether they’re new or returning customers… simply bc of your reminder, and detailing of what beautiful flowers/plants you chose to grow… which they offer.
And everyone’s trying to save a buck or two or more when possible… esp if they’re like me when shopping for seeds/bulbs/plants etc… and find themselves opening the huge package that arrives just to think, “who the hell did I think I was when I placed this order?” and “just how much land did I imagine, & forget THAT I DONT HAVE, that I could plant seeds on, haha 😂
