All the recipes for using hydrogen peroxide indoors for you seed starts and transplants. These are my modified ratios and recipes for 2023.

Initial Soil Drench for Sterilizing & Germination
Soil Drench: 4 parts water and 1 part hydrogen peroxide

Managing Molds and Fungi
Spray: 6 parts water and 1 part hydrogen peroxide
Soil Drench: (maintaining health) 5 parts water and 1 part H202

Fungus Gnat Infestation
Spray: 4 parts water and 1 part hydrogen peroxide
Soil Drench: 3 parts water and 1 part H202

    Can you do the Hydrogen Peroxide without doing the boiling water first? I have some mix from last year I boiled but didn't use, do I need to boil it again to be safe?

    I have been seeing algae and white fungus but no ghats. Should I go ahead and treat aggressively?

    I microwave the soil mix right after I hydrate it with boiling water. The steam and microwave will nuke everything.

    Thank you! I added boiling water to my soil before I started my seeds but I must have not done it correctly because I now have fungus gnats. 🥴 I've only seen one or two everyday should I treat aggressively?

    I have some fungus growing on my celery tray which just germinated. Can I still spay hydrogen peroxide solution without killing celery seedlings?

    A week ago I placed a couple of sweet potatoes in moist potting soil on a heat mat to promote slips. I want to keep the soil moist but not wet but now discovering some white mold(?) forming on the soil surface. I lightly sprayed HP/H2O mixture this morning hoping to eliminate this growth and not impede slip formation. Any other recommendation?

    Thanks Gary I will be trying this idea. I just purchased two large bottles of 3% peroxide and was going to give away one, but now I will be using one for my seedlings.

    I have old seed starting mix and indoor potting mix from cells that didn't germinate or I never potted up, so they died. If I pour boiling water over it, do you think it would be ok to use for potting up seedlings? Especially if I add some slow release fertilizer and water with diluted fish emulsion?

    Thank you for this. I've been battling fungus gnats for the past few weeks. Do you know if this solution would hurt composting worms? I've got a very small tub set up indoors. I've seen the fungus gnats when I go to feed them. Digging down into the bedding, I don't know if they are juvenile gnats or mites, but I'd like to try this one them.
