  1. I was wondering if the heat mat harmed the wood table. I’m in zone 8b, Foley, AL and thinking about getting a heat mat to get my seeds started earlier. Seeds are really cheaper than buying plants. Thank you Laura & Aaron for bringing joy & peace to so many!!

  2. Just wanted to say “THANK YOU” for keeping your videos about plants, growing things and keeping everything positive. Lots of unpleasant things happening in this world. You keep me looking forward to the future.😁

  3. My husband gets me a red geranium every year for Mother's Day. I live in zone 4B, in Northern NY by the Canadian border and 1000 Islands region, it's the perfect time for them as long as we bring them in when it gets really cold and we are still getting snow, which we occasionally do. I do have issues with my leaves turning spongy after a time. I keep up on 'arming' them ( taking off the spent blooms). Any suggestions? I use Proven Winners' fertilizer.

  4. I'm having a hard time regulating the temperature in my greenhouse.

The builder leveled the greenhouse, so I have a huge space between the ground sloping under greenhouse. Not sure if I should just order chip drop and shove/push chip mulch under greenhouse? Or raised beds around the perimeter to help keep cold air from coming up through the wood floor gaps?

I didn't realize how cold it would get inside! Greenhouse newbie, here.

As this is my first 'greenhouse winter', I'll chalk it up to learning experience. But I definitely need to figure out how to maintain the temperature.

If anyone reading this can recommend a channel for me, thank you!

    Happy gardening, all!

-Benjiman was so sweet enjoying his hot cocoa 💕

  5. From the time you got the Hartley, I was so excited and anxious to see how the olive tree looked in there. I think the look would be so beautiful and perfect there. Is it too big for the Hartley?

  6. What beautiful geraniums. Here in California I can break off a branch and just shove it in the dirt, and it will continue to root and grow on its own. I have never tried to do this from Seed. It might be a fun project.

  7. Laura, do you ever pinch yourself to make sure you’re not dreaming? Your Hartley is such a special space to garden and spend time in. Thanks for sharing!

  8. Laura, did you notice your own background is trees, now?!?
I've heard you talk about the envy of those who live with lots of trees in the background for years.
Watching this video, I realized that your background was trees! No leaves, but it counts!

  9. I still think a really pretty fabric curtain would be beautiful just velcroed under the sink/counter area. A nice floral print or black.

  10. I wouldn’t paint the brick just in case you would change your mind. Maybe some pretty wood doors just to see if you would like that. But you can always take the doors off if you change your mind too!

  11. Good morning, Laura, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸 🌞 🇺🇸
We are supposed to hit 80°F today ⛱️🌞⛱️
I love geraniums and they grow well until summer. Our heat is too stressful.
    Happy Gardening Everyone 👩‍🌾👍

  12. I dry them too, they keep there color. I have deep red dried pelargonium blooms that are still beautiful and a few years old.

  13. They ate hosts to Japanese beetles. As much as I ove this plant, I had to find a replacement due to the bettles loving my area.

  14. Hello Sweet Laura, staring seeds in the Hartley: a magical place for them to grow. I too have started my seedlings in my Apt. I am willing to share my space with them. I have my
Garden/Birds/@ love having my own space for all the things that I love. Have a wonderful day ,Sweet Laura, Wanda

  15. So glad to see the Hartley being used as an actual greenhouse….yay! Also, I was thinking during a video last week "Laura's going to need another mister, maybe 2!"

  16. I giggled when a picture of Tom cruise popped up when you said they were the maverick variety🤣

  17. Regarding temperature, Laura…. Would it be possible to maybe just show the temperature in Celsius, maybe discreetly in the corner of the screen? I'm just used to Celsius, and I just cannot remember, how to convert fahrenheit. So I thought, I would just ask, if it could be showed on screen, when fahrenheit is mentioned? It would be greatly appreciated!!! 😁😁😁

  18. You are living the life!! Thank you for all you do sharing your knowledge and letting us into your world! I could only dream of such things, but you inspire me everyday and I've learned so much through you. In my small garden I have tried to do things on a much smaller scale and have grown things in every inch of my space. Next year I will try to grow Pelargoniums! Would you recommend a small backyard greenhouse? I'm afraid I can't do a Hartley. What features should I look for? Thinking 6'X8'. Gardening in zone 6a.
