  1. Looks good . Honestly you don't need to over complicate things. I mean yea you can do everything perfectly but that only buys you about 2 or 3 less months for fully usable compost. But it's honestly easy too much work for us small gardaners.

  2. Make some holes at the sides and bottom of the bin and bury it half way in the ground and cover the bin. You don’t need to turn or stir the pile. From the ground, earth worms come to eat the waste inside the bin and in couple of moths it will become compost. There are some good YouTube videos you can watch that are very simple.

  3. I have one of the big corkscrews 🙂 to turn my Aerobin . I only do it occasionally. It helps to aerate the pile. You can also add crumpled up balls of paper, toilet paper tubes… not just flat cardboard, and that will add air pockets. The corkscrews work great. A lot easier than a shoveling somehow.
