  1. I love all your videos mate. If you own your property and it’s your forever home than I say go for it.

As an aside I’d love to see you make some basic furniture such as besides, a buffet perhaps.

Either way I’ll be watching 👍

  2. John, not that you really require any advice, but Graham on ‘GT Workshop’ has a very interesting and simple upgrade video for his timber workbench, using the UKJ Parf system! Len (Devon 🇬🇧)

  3. Hi & happy new year. If you're looking for new projects why not build something different? Maybe a boat or, if something smaller, a bow & arrows.

  4. I would love to see you get stuck into a large furniture project such as a sideboard or lounge chair etc.

  5. John, huge fan. I run a blog that I have been doing for 11 years. One thing that I found was helpful in generating content was to do series. I'd love to see some of the tools that you tend to use together, so that you could do a series of videos on stuff like "tools for box building," "tools for finishing," and the like. You could also do more reviews. I know folks are hesitant to do reviews, but they do help.

  6. A workshop rebuild is going to be something I’d watch a lot. As a beginner wood worker/hobbyist it’s something I’m planning todo this year too

  7. Have you thought of building a CNC router station and doing a series on a CNC/hand tool guitar body project? Lots of possibilities there combining your skill sets!

  8. Happy New Year John. A workshop rebuild/redesign series would be an excellent one to follow along with and would help others (Me) to come up with a better layout for their own workshops as well I'm sure. Im sure you know Tommy over at Éire Workshop has invested in a CNC and is turning out some interesting stuff on it as well so maybe something you could take a look at as well. Whatever you decide to do I'm certin of one thing and that is we'll all come aong for the ride. You're one of the best woodworking channels out there and make your videos most entertaining so please keep showing us more as and when life allows.

  9. Happy new year. That’s a lot of work, I did similar work in my garage to limit the noise for the neighbors and help control the temp. Good luck and best wishes

  10. For your workshop insulation and dependent on the rafters in the roof why not just go outside ?, 40mm kingspan roof and wall panels with a top hat system over what you have already, helps with noise too but really depends on structure holding the extra weight. No floor space lost…

  11. I’m a keen Woodworking hobbyist and I’m building myself a workshop towards the end of this year and it also has to have enough room for a motorbike so I would LOVE to see how you go about all of this!
Love the videos man keep up the good work, I’m sure the Creativity will flow right back up when you start reorganising and doing the new shop! 👍🏻

  12. I would go the stud wall rebuild route. It would be way more beneficial in the long run, IMO.

  13. I would like to see a build series of your suggestions. Many people share a shop with their everyday life. Not many channels focus on the reality that many of us face with sharing space.

  14. I am looking forward to all the changes you planning to do, good luck with your planning it is always interesting to watch you and I am looking forward to see it all.

  15. Have you considered incorporating a woodwork bench into your miter station? Or build a smaller size Moravian bench? Then you can leave your power tool bench as it is.

  16. A couple of years ago I did exactly what your'e considering re. the workshop rebuild. I was originally in a 2 bay corrugated hay shed, so to beat the condensation, noise, temp fluctuations etc. I built a free-standing, insulated, steel framed workshop inside it. I pre built a wall flat on the floor, raised it, then did another, and so on. With loads of insulation the temp hardly changes from day to day, and there's no more condensation. If you're ever up Roscommon direction, I'd be happy to show it to you. It was a lot of work, but once the materials were sourced, it all went up in a few days.

  17. There’s your inspiration John, go for it. We will all watch.

  18. John have a look at Ben's work bench at hew and awe. He has a hybrid workbench as you mention.

  19. I think is an excellent idea. Could improve many things, maintaining good neighbor relations and make better use of the space.
