  1. Your videos always brighten my day. You help start the day on a happy note. Thank you so much!

  2. No question! Have grass on each side of the pathway from the house to the Hartley. You have many other gardens that are beautiful.

  3. Apparently I missed the video, but why do you have a patch of grass planted in the greenhouse? Just curious ; )

  4. Russel always wanting to help! 😺 my garden goal is to start some flowers from seeds! I’m a total beginner seed starter! 🫤

  5. All your pathways around the house are brick, as well as the edging and the trim around the Hartley. Why would you use pavers on that pathway to the cars? And I vote for grass just enlarge the bed around the willow so the sprinkler can hit what it needs to. Sorry if I'm too opinionated but I love what you've done, and the pavers don't match.

  6. Love you , your videos and your family! Watching these makes me happy everyday and I learn soooooooo much!❤

  7. I'm sure someone else has already said this and I just missed it, but those paths that appear because we walk them so, rather than using an established walkway, are called desire paths. Happy Gardening!

  8. A fresh beginning! Bring on 2023! Russell is such a ham! Love him!

  9. Why do you have the hyacinth bulb pots partially buried in soil in the cold frames? Also I think with the path from the house to the Hartley – why not do a stone paver path like you're doing out in the south garden area but instead of mulch in between each stone just grow grass, that way the line of the lawn continues but you have a solid surface to walk over. It would kind of marry the lawn area with whats going on in and around the Hartley well I think.

  10. Oh Russell! Laura might have to put in a small chicken wire seedling area where you can't go.
I have had to do that to protect plants from my cats. 🐈

  11. OMG! I suddenly need a cold frame RIGHT NOW for hyacinths! My favorite spring flower!

  12. I think some grass by the house path area is a good idea, you already have so many areas waiting for your attention and don't want you to spread yourselves too thin.

  13. I just love how Laura taps on things when she is done or when she likes or agrees with something! Am I the only one who gets a kick out of this? Love you Laura and family too. Especially mom!

  14. I just wait for your update videos! I'm so nervous to try Lisianthus because of their reputation 😅 I just started scented stock last week and they're already showing the joined vs separate cotyledons 😀

  15. My hyacinths bloomed already haha , forced them here in San Antonio Tx… the smell of spring in winter is 😊😊😊😊😊

  16. Re: possible removing the grass/lawn: you've mentioned you both want to "up your ground cover game" – those spots might be a great place to experiment w a few of the hundreds out there. Large swaths would maintain a peaceful break as the lawn does now.

  17. I think we need a sweatshirt option with Russel and Cheddar hiding in some plants. Russel takes his ambassadorship very seriously.

  18. Only , if I could bottles your young energy for the coming year! Love your video’s! Even for an old gardener, you still teach me something new.

  19. Grassy areas rest the eyes. You have a couple months to noodle what you envision for your peace and comfort. Trust your gut.

  20. QUESTION: Where did you purchase the white plant labels you used to for your seed trays? I am looking for a company that sells them in great quantities.

  21. I vote to leave the grass on both sides of the path from the house, so the gardens around the Hartley are the focal point. Happy New Year !!
