  1. Little Prince is the best! (Their plants don't croak ). I grew a few of the Baker Creek seeds last year, including Pink Senorita, the champagne hollyhock (which is so so beautiful) and the Feverfew (it is a short and stubby plant).

  2. I love when you talk about houseplants. I’m thinking perhaps I have been a bad keeper of house plants as I don’t fertilize mine in the cool months as I had always heard to only fertilize late April – September. Should I be feeding mine too?

  3. Love this video and all the info. Just want to mention, begonias prefer warmer temps might want to move them to the greenhouse???

  4. Good luck running that heat pump in teens and below. For a month we ran ours last December when temps were around zero and our electric bill went thru the roof! They’re efficient for heat to a point here in the northeast, but once it gets below 30, we use our propane.

  5. Thanks for this video and sharing your experience. I learn so much as I do not have much knowledge in caring for plants. Thanks for listing the vendors you use as well. I have ordered several on the basis of what I see you grow and I have ordered from your preferred vendors. All the plants have done well, thank you! You and your family are such a breath of sunshine and fresh air, thank you!!!

  6. Your beyond happy in your beautiful glass house. Im so jealous, in a good way. Im so happy for you

  7. It is always colder next to the glass and walls so maybe pull them in a bit. I had a greenhouse in Vermont and was able to get orchids to bloom. With one small space heater and not hot at all.) Merry Christmas to you all, Thank you for all you do. (And yes we watch your videos thru holidays. Brings us great joy!)

  8. I heat my apartment with the oil filled heater. It gives off a soft heat. No fan no noise, just does the job, I love it.

  9. Love this video! Maybe you could move the plants to the other side of the space, closer to the heater for the winter. And maybe pull the shades at night and on colder days to conserve heat.

  10. What happened to the jewel-toned bulbs for the Hartley tree? You got them when you and Monicas went antiquing last year I think. They were beautiful.

  11. You should consider potting up your dill or switching it to a ceramic pot instead. That should help you go alot longer between watering. I live in Phoenix and we have to do that all the time because it's so hot here 😩. Lol

  12. I was going to plant buckwheat and then saw where it can be invasive. What are your thoughts? I was going to plant it to better my soil.

  13. I have the same garland of ornaments. So pretty. I wondered…why didn’t you just use ornament hooks to hang them?

  14. I wish they had candles that run on wire. I forget to turn my candles off too. It gets expensive on batteries.

  15. When the Hartley was going in, I wondered whether you were going to install heat under the floor. Hindsight is twenty-twenty, but it looks like you've found a solution. Fun to see you putting about in the Hartley. ~ Lisa

  16. Laura ..who knew ..JOY COMES IN BOXES 🥰The tree looks even better with the “greenish “ ornaments….was hoping to see a few baskets hanging like the grape leaf Ivy ….a curtain of plain drop cloth would look so cute under the counter …but …everything is looking good 🥰

  17. Laura, I always notice that you use your Felco 2 pruners for all sorts of projects where I would have to use scissors. How do you keep yours so sharp? I have a small file that I use regularly, but I know I couldn't cut that ribbon with mine.

  18. Love the view of the snow. Did you change your mind, will we get to see unboxing videos of stuff viewers send you or sponsors only? Second: can you turn the heat up higher on the mini split so your not having to add heaters?

  19. Oh no girl, the Hartley tree is so beautiful…you cannot use ugly green wire when hanging ornaments! When will you be planting seeds?

  20. Thank you for naming the plants as I've been mispronounced the tradescantia. I have 5 varieties (wandering jew). They are all doing so well. I love watching your videos as I've gained so much information. The only problem is that I want more, lol. Thank you for all you do.

  21. 🙋‍♀️Hi Laura. How you ever grown chocolate mint? It reminds me of an Andes candy. Your Hartley tree is gorgeous!🎄❄🎅

  22. I have those same ornaments and they are so heavy as a garland I didn't know whay to do with it. Didn't even consider taking it apart 🤦‍♀️

  23. U may find that oil filled heater will be be very expensive to run . Get Aaron to check the power bill. I loaned one to a friend once, and she had this huge electric bill after leaving it on all day and night. They may be a bit more power friendly these days. I sow my zinnias in trays, then plant them out, cos when I plant them straight in the ground they 'disappear', so yes they can be transplanted out even tho they say they don't like it 🙂

  24. In the evening try putting up the sunshades to help retain the heat.

  25. So nice to watch a NON Christmas decor video~! Q:: do you ever plant anything meant just for the chickens, to eat and nibble on?

  26. Looking wonderful in there!! We have roller shades on a thermostat. It helps to insulate at night tremendously!! But….kinda ugly 😂

  27. Its a greenhouse, what did you expect. Greenhouses that size have overhead heaters??

  28. Great video as per usual. Really enjoyed all the views outside the Hartley. Even the neighbours high-rise camper van port didn't look too bad in the distance. Don't remember seeing a pussy cat 🤔🙀. Love, love love the new ornaments from your Mum. I received mail order plants yesterday, had cardboard taped over the soil, plants laying down sideways in the box, no mess. The cardboard on top of the soil was quite damp… I wondered if that was intentional or if it wicked?
It's getting close to Christmas now, would be interested to see what Aaron gives his gorgeous wife this year x 💚🌲🌱🎁🙏😇🇦🇺🌱🌲💚🌼🕊️

  29. well. I doubt about this wheat. could just paint the pictures in Photoshop, although it would be interesting to see what grows. you can not grow wheat, but lavender, in my 4th zone narrow-leaved lavender grows well in open ground

  30. Maybe putting in a heated floor would have been a good idea. The room would heat evenly from the floor up by water being heated with embedded coils. Did you guys consider that? Your toes would stay toasty warm. But I guess it's to late for that.
