  1. Something like that prairie field picture would look AMAZING oh the new property that you guys bought!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

  2. Northern Sea Oats is a strong and noxious little bugger in my Utah garden and hard to get rid of. Itโ€™s beautiful and loves the shade but will take over.

  3. This was so nice and educational for me. I have a mostly shady front yard and mostly sunny backyard. I live in a big city with houses very close together and a 25' wide lot, so not much space, but I think I can use many of these offerings in it! I paid a landscaper alot of money to do our front yard, but unfortunately she planted many items that need alot of sun, so here I am having to move it all to the back and replant the front! So happy you did this video as I will be able to use many of your suggestions, especially the Artic Fire Dogwood plants. They will be beautiful in front close to the house. So happy they like shade! One request, when you ask people to send in their photos, could you show some smaller type homes too? I know it wouldn't be as expansive or showy, but many of us have a smaller type home and could use them as inspiration. Thanks again!

  4. I find that even just leaving regular perennials up until spring adds interest until the snow pack gets taller. I put in a coral berry this summer and just loved those pink berries. Canโ€™t wait till it matures a bit more -great in cut flower arrangements and as early winter interest. Iโ€™ve learned so much watching you these last few years my winter garden gives me almost as much pleasure as my summer garden!

  5. This is so helpful for me. We just put in a new sidewalk and will be remodeling this spring. After everything is done, I will have a flower bed to re-design and this video will be so helpful as I figure out how to provide more evergreen interest into the garden and to save me work as I turned 70 this year. Thanks Laura!

  6. Proven Winners debuted their Sting Arborvitae Instagram a very narrow arborvitae. What are your thoughts or preference to it over a Taylor Juniper?

  7. Love the winter interest topic! I was just wondering, how did you come up with the name Garden Answer? We love your show as it spanks our garden interest planning throughout the year. Congrats on the Felco ad!

  8. Note:
    Seagrass is INVASIVE in East.
I've seen it planted in a parking lot island area of a huge garden center to prevent sprigs showing up in the most random places…you'd think they would mention that (like they do with bamboo) in the coast of SC… ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒž

  9. What a great video Laura, thank you! And thanks to all who sent photos ! I really never think of winter interest until I started watching your videos many many years ago! I have learned so much from you! Thank you again and now I have quite the list now of things I would like to add to my property , and everything just looks so beautiful covered with a fresh layer of snow! I do have a question โ“ HOW MANY TREES DO YOU HAVE ON YOUR PROPERTY โ“โ”โ“โ”โ“โ” you mentioned so many you have from the list you talked about. Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas! ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿช†๐Ÿ•ฏ๐Ÿฅโ›ธโ˜ƒ๏ธโญ๏ธ๐ŸŒฒ

  10. As others have said – you are amazing Laura! Your knowledge astounds me the way you retain so much information… it seems to roll right of the top of your head. Been watching you for several years now, but today's video really shows why you are such a success and have such a following!

  11. Iโ€™m fortunate enough to live in a place where the willows grow wild. They are always such a joy to me to look at when driving around. Reds and yellows.

  12. Thanks Laura, Aaron & Team! So much excellent and informative information in today's video. Well done. I love my small garden here in Zone 9b and look forward to my evergreen Clematis and Hellebores for winter interest. If I had space, I would love some Winterberry, Mahonia & Witch Hazel.

  13. Laura I just enjoy these โ€œlistโ€ videos so much! I repeat listen to them! have learned so much, for example that listing of crabapple trees! I looked it up while you were talking! I have gotten such good ideas for my garden that I might not have thought of. So informative! Merry Christmas! ๐ŸŽ„

  14. I love the multi- trunk trees also. If you canโ€™t find a multi-trunk, can you plant three trees together? Will they thrive like that?
