#leavetheleaves #fallgardening #woodlandgarden Hello Everyone! In this video I am talking about why I think everyone should leave their fall leaves…or at least gently move them to the garden beds and woodland.

Below are products I use all the time and the brands I love. I only recommend products that I use regularly and my recommendations are always based on personal experience.

  1. I have found it depends on your leaves. I wish I could make leaf mold, but our property has dozens and our yard area has a handful of Walnut trees. We blow those Juglone leaves out of the yard and beds and borders into the woods. We do leave the Wild Cherry, Maple and other tree and shrub leaves. The huge rough Sycamore leaves are mulched first, then moved to the beds and borders.

  2. Thanks for spreading the word! Also don’t forget about lighting bugs, leave the leaves and you’ll have a wonderful light show on your property in the summer.

  3. I used to mow the leaves off the lawn. But now I just let the leaves stay. It really doesn't seem to harm the lawn at all to leave them. I bought an electric leaf blower which I use to get leaves off the deck, driveway and from around the back door where they love to pile up. I really like the blower. Fast & easy.
