Hey fellow-fans, be sure to thoroughly check the ramifications of registering an LLC in your state beforehand. Every state is different, but in California, for example, the minimum state income tax on an LLC is $800 per year. Yikes
You mentioned wanting to organize your decor items. Airtable is a free app that I use to organize/document items. Easy to upload pictures for each item, filter by your pre-defined categories, etc.

With all the trees and bushes you have planted the birds will start to come in. To draw cardinals put raisins and peanuts in your mix they come everyday for us plus i put mealworms out which draws even more birds including blue birds. Peanuts will draw blue jays which are beautiful

I am disappointed with the title of this video. It seems intended to court controversy as it has based on the below comments. As a man who identifies as a man, I support doing small things to make others feel included. This is not about controlling “speech” as others below have suggested.

Laura, you are such a kind and accommodating person. When you gave the viewer a millisecond thought about changing from "you guys" to "everyone", politely, but definitively saying, no, I cheered, "Good for you!" (sorry for the run on sentence) People can really be audacious at times. I guess that speaks to your reluctance to open up your place. I don't blame you at all. My grandparents ran a small par three golf course on their property. The front porch to their home was repurposed to the Pro-Shop. Despite the "Private" signs, my poor grandmother would routinely find customers sitting in her living room after having poured themselves a cup of coffee in the kitchen! Needless to say she hated sharing her private space with the public. Don't do it. On that note, so glad you take time off from your channel for yourselves. Your viewers don't own you. Jeeze, and even if I miss your presence, I should get off the computer and do something else once in a while! Sorry for the rant. Love your channel and everything you do, including "you guys" and doing self-care. 🙂

As much I think it would be fun to see your gardens & Christmas lights if I lived on your side of the country, I am always so happy to say you do not open to the public! There are too many bad things happening in this world! Protect those precious children and yourselves! Everyone should be able to enjoy their home, privacy & feel safe!

yes very normal i have figs and the leaves are a huge mess but it happens no matter where you live and it does not need cold.remember it is never cold in eden
Saying "You guys" is one of those expressions people say up north. I grew up saying it and still do. When we moved south as a kid I was made fun of in school for saying it and other local expressions, as well as for having a northern accent. We don't all need to sound the same, children!

I put my winter greens in an insert full of sand, water them in to freeze then place them in pots. Just be sure to have some of the dirt removed from the pots to make space for the inserts 👍
Things change all the time. That's just life.I know that Laura doesn't mean anything by it. It's just something that she feels is sweet and endearing. We've all got to think a little differently eventually, away from how we were conditioned. Consider learning about how you make people feel, especially if you are talking to the masses. It would be amazing if she would consider being a little bit more gender neutral. Having this platform and teaching people about things so that we can be a little less ignorant would be awesome!
Actually saying "guys" is absolutely NOT all inclusive. Nobody would walk up and say "gals" to a bunch of people would they? Just like NOBODY uses the old common phrases or words to address different races anymore! It is something that she should consider. It was brushed off pretty quickly. I really think she should still consider it because all throughout all of the videos she says "you guys!" I would rather hear a gender neutral word like "y'all" or "everyone" or "everybody" or not use any type of gender affirming word at all. How about that?
She and her mom spent almost an entire video trying to use different adjectives besides "cute" & "pretty" but this request of being more gender neutral didn't get a full second of thought.
It would have been really spectacular if Laura would have considered it as something to be mindful of, especially with a huge platform like Garden Answer!!

Totally normal for a fig tree to lose its leaves. I have four varieties in my yard here in the south and they all lose their leaves in fall.😊
