Paul Wheaton’s new Kickstarter features Helen Atthowe and her ecological approach to the Garden Master Course. Paul is making videos of the course hosted at Wheaton Labs. You can help make this happen and get gobs of permaculture goodies when you pledge here:

I haven’t found a solution for my own row garden that doesn’t require too many inputs. I am hoping that Helen can solve my expensive input (mulch, fertilizer, tractor tillage) issues. Can’t wait to see the edited video. $100 Self-Heating Greenhouse Plans Are UP!

  1. Re: whats happening in the world at this point, I would say its more important that you know whats going on, rather than being bombarded with the same info over and over and frankly you can be the best prepper in the world but if your NOT good with God it wont help. Thank you for not having any Godless music to ruin the video.

  2. I wish you could lighten up a bit. There are so many that are aspiring to grow something, you are already ahead of the game and yet your journey sounds exhausting and uninspiring, maybe it's just your tone or demeanor, despite giving info that are useful to others..

  3. YOU have much knowledge😊 creativity keeps it going not caring if things are pretty n spending thousands to build n buy what looks good on video..free cheap sustainable is where everyone will be in the next few years!!! Keep teaching keep going!! I sewed pillow cases together n strung over chicken run to keep the hawks out. Ugly jukey but I have privacy fences so only I see it lol we do what we need to to feed our family

  4. I appreciate all of your content! Thank you for reporting information that is pertinent to me and my little homestead! Many of the larger creators have outgrown my needs! I’m just a simple homesteader who needs the basics repeated. I love your older videos and your current videos! Congratulations on reaching permaculture nirvana! You have worked so hard to get there! Please keep sharing ❤

  5. You have been given some free time to rest, think, rethink and consider things other than gardening you may need to focus on for a bit.

  6. Great advice and chat. Yes, Deep South Homestead is a great one to follow. I also recommend Perma Pastures Farm who do free animal feed and show useful things like where you can garden if you don't have land. Hollis and Nancy show from planting to harvesting. MI Gardener and Off Grid with Doug and Stacy have great garden advice as well. I'm busy as well so I just watch or listen to the videos when I get to them.

  7. Hi Julie, I completely agree re the scary videos/posts. I started nominating those videos ‘not interested’ in YouTube and when I found I was still getting them I started blocking channels that seemed to be posting the “scary” regularly. I hardly get any of those suggested to me now. I watch all your gardening videos, not so much those about animal keeping, I don’t have room to keep animals. Like those who caught the live, I watch more in our winter (Australia) and tend to catch up on a lot then. Please don’t change your ‘keep it small, simple and money smart’ philosophy in your videos, it is why I keep watching!

  8. You and your content are so very appreciated. I can't even tell you how tired I am of all the End of Days/Stock up NOW videos. It doesn't matter how much someone stocks up. It's going to run out at some point and then what? If we don't learn how to grow our own food sustainably, ie Permaculture, Agroforestry, Food forests, etc, then we are in big trouble. Big commercial monocropping and mass production of food will not last and those systems are so fragile. I know I am not alone in loving your videos and watching you create something from nothing again and again. It doesn't get old.

  9. Love your videos, The goal is to be just like you and not rely on commercial feeds.

  10. Garden king of kings speaks:
Very simple. U will need 2thingz. Mulch, chcknz.
U will need collect 33lbs mulch a day 30 days. U will need 3,000lbs mulch 50 x 50' garden. &Chicknz. That is all. I raise worlds best chickn breed by vast chasm.

All th endless blah blah bllsht bout posphorous calcium ph 10-15 -10 companion planthis that th other &on &on&on these people snakes. Use mulch, chickn manure. That is all. LOADED with calcium minerals. Why would i use ruminant manure? When mighty chicken ate 100lbs skelleton &insects caraprace???
Same hospitals. Lucifer angels run hospitals &schools, nurseries… people employed there in bed with thdevil. He will punish thm 4sleeping with him on his torture tables.
    Trick or treat.
    Cancer isnt treated. Its cured.
Real doctors CURE. They dont TREAT sit back collect cash. This isnt halloween.
Treating garden sickness &cancers trillion dollar bizness.
Endless dozens cures out there all sickness boil down2minerals both human &plant.
    Universe revolve around good soil.
Plant has mulch = humic acids = window2minerals cellular level capslock = vegetables also then taste SWEET also PH BUFFER highest BRIX nutrients.
Wild greens on brutal hardpack tuff, bitter, soapy telling u: "dont eat us."
Walmart vegetable bland, dead dont eat us = whole point of PROCESSING food. Satan processes wheat, milk oil etc. @great expense = DESTROYS Yahweh life force cellular level changes u vibration tunes u 2hells radio frequency.
Our quartz orgone = life force = burns Satans dimension& evil kids.

Good news legendary Tahitian squash/pumpkin fruiting top right photo = up2 40lbs super sweet winter vegetable also makes pumpkin pie.
Only2 squash i will ever plant squash bug vine borer resistant. Sacrificing a year sorting varieties was hell. But wrth it.

  11. I wanted to thank you, for the tip about the wet towels hanging on the cages, as I was struggling with keeping my baby chicks cool this summer, here in Florida

  12. totally unrelated to ur wonderful content, but I wanted to issue a bit of a heads up on the Idaho Freedom Foundation and their view on certain ( inappropriate ) education for kids starting pretty young, I think 3rd grade. I know ur kiddo hybrid schools at public school and didn't know if u may need to check on that. take care 💚🌱

  13. Taking time to catch up on YouTube lol. Missed watching you. Dealing with an inflammatory disease so bedridden and really mad at my body for acting up when I need to be preserving food and butchering animals. Even dried up my goat early because I hurt too much to do anything.

You'll find your next project! I've been following you for years and love your content. I've learned so much from you during my homesteading journey.

  14. Stay true to your self trust in the basics common sensed proven ways that have fed you're family 👪 all these years you are for real people teaching us how to protect us from relying on commercially sustained ways! You are AWSOME, GOD BLESS!

  15. I loved the few times you showed ideas on how to water. Could you show is in more detail? Does everything have pressure?

  16. So I love permaculture and ecology and how everything is connected. I love your videos because of how amazing you are at finding practical solutions and setting the system up. Thank you. I haven't found another youtube channel quiet like this one. This information fascinates me. I don't care about doomsday fear stuff. I've been looking for ways to reduce costs for a while, and I would love to learn more about weeds and proportions and just how much self-grown stuff can be fed without my animals lacking in nutrition when I reduce pellets, etc. Watering has also been a huge challenge for me due to lack of water pressure and just the spaces. Your brain is awesome, and your hard work is inspirational. Please keep making tons of videos! What is obvious and boring and redundant to one, is not to another. Even just giving garden tours in detail of your rows and what your feeding every day to every animal…it's not boring! I love it, and I'm not the only one.
    Thank you for your channel.
