I like the sound of the 'balcony garden'. Maybe we don't see the balcony much but you do and it's your space! Another lovely video, thank you 😊
I don’t normally plant bulbs in containers for spring, just live plants through the spring and summer. I’m zone 6a in ct. do I need to know anything specific for bulbs in containers? Always thought they would rot
Love that spruce!❣️❣️❣️I really love how you changed things up❣️Yes, Surprisingly, those pots you moved, look better without them in that space but perfect in their new home😊🥰❣️❣️❣️❣️
[Thinks of last Xmas lights tour]
This year will be even better?? ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Curious if after the bulbs bloom in spring in your pots, do you dig them up and place in your landscape? Or do you just toss them each year and start over?
🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
What happened to the tree arbor you had for the back garden?
Those could work for the entrance of the loop.
Maybe with a Generous Gardener rose on it. 🙊
Also love Persephone's garden.
She's look great in a cloud of sweet alyssm beneath her.
Those flame willows are stunning
24:00 those boxwoods look really brown. Are those sprinter boxwood?
Maybe large metal French container boxes…the square ones, in dark green. I saw them in France and they are gorgeous. At Versailles are the huge wooden ones for trees, but I did see metal ones in Italy that were faux-French and painted British racing green….both beautiful.:-)
Hello! As always, very enjoyable video! My question: in the spring, when the tulips are done, you said to just clean out the foliage. What about the bulbs? Do you just plant on top of them and hope you don't disturb the bulbs too much? I have a meer six large containers and planting with bulbs for a spring show is so enticing to me! Thanks! And, again, I appreciate your inspiring work!
I ❤ the tractor cam and everything about this video .
Can’t wait to see the tulips in the spring! ❤🪴
Can't wait to see the spring flower show. Laura, do you have to cover the pots to keep the cats from digging in them or are your cats well behaved and only dig in designated areas? I have to cover pots to keep the squirrels from digging in them. It's a perfect place to hide nuts for the winter and easy digging too, Love your enthusiasm and ability to explain how and why you plant in certain places. So glad i found Garden Answer on youtube.
Question! I’m pretty new to planting bulbs and a few weeks ago planted about 50 tulips and daffodils in my potager garden. I didn’t realize until watching your video that I was supposed to plant them 6 inches deep and only planted them about twice as deep as the bulb is tall, like with planting vegetable seeds. Should I dig them up and plant them deeper or just leave them be? What happens when you don’t plant them deep enough?
I don’t know if anyone else does this, but I keep having conversations with my tv while watching GA 🗣️ 📺 😂 !
The trees look beautiful in their new homes, and I can’t wait for the tulips 🌷 to bloom! I was amazed by how much you’ve groomed the landscape, especially around the children’s garden. That must have been quite a lot of work!! 😅 I’m even more amazed that the year has already almost passed and we’re looking forward to spring.
In the meantime, can’t wait to see the Christmas 🎄 lights tour!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
What happens to the tulips when you're ready to plant your annuals in the pots?
I used bone meal for my tulips should I add some bio Tome to the soil on top?
Is it time to invest in more statuary pieces to replace the big pots? 😁Then you can have your markers for the garden pathway. Also, I'm very excited to see bulb tour videos! I don't have very much experience with growing them.
It was like watching a giant dance in your garden today with all the trees being moved and new ones being planted. So much fun to watch. Those planters are going to look amazing in the Spring. Now that we've seen the before shots, I can't wait to see the after shots.
I'm exited to see the tulip show in the spring!
Maybe topiaries in the large pots!
It'll be so nice to have a big tree to block the basketball hoop view.
Please also your Moms meadow bulbs when they flower
Whew!! That was a LOT of planting. All those tulips will be amazing.
You've got your boots on…..to keep warm. Although I'm in the same "zone" as you are, Laura…..we rec'd our first snow on Nov 2nd and it came to stay and be winter. My garlic and tulip bulbs are in brown paper bags, ready to be planted……..If the snow melts I WILL be planting them. However I may need to spend my outdoor time with MY boots on and shoveling snow until next spring! Love spending time with you in your garden (or your mom's, your neighbour's, your friends' gardens).
If a tree could think, I wonder what it would think about going to sleep in one place, and waking up in another… if a tree could think.
I recall you had planned, at one point to plant the Akebono by the angel statue where you originally had them, are you planning on changing the angel statue area now that the Hartley gardens will be with it?
Johan Cruyff is Holland’s best soccer player!! ⚽️💕
I’m telling you right now, I would have hit myself in the head many times, with the handle of that shovel…😂😂😂
I love your bulb planting videos.
Has Aaron ever ran over anything with the tractor ? 🚜 he got pretty close to the new boxwoods 😊
It's going to be a beautiful Spring!
What an inspiration and educator you and Aaron
are for all of us, including me a master gardener. Question: I take it that you didn't water any of the container tulips?
What do you do with the bulbs in the containers when it's time to plant for summer? Do you leave them in, or take them out and store them? I'm curious because I planted a container with bulbs for spring and am not sure what to do when it's time to plant my summer flowers.
Wow Laura…you went really nuts this year with the bulbs! I can't wait to see them all spring. We in central Texas have "bulb envy" and will live vicariously through your videos 😂.
And folks, can we talk about what a real DYNAMO Laura is?! Good Lord the work she accomplishes in just one day. Amazing.
✌🏾💜
Purple = royalty
I agree with the person that wants to see the results of all this bulb planting!!
I know I continue to harp on this, but Aaron I would like to see you get away from the box store Christmas lights and segue to the commercial grade lights. They are so much more bright and so much more stunning. Also for next year I would consider using C7s along the fence instead of the minis. What you do is beautiful, you are missing out on how much more beautiful it can be!!!
I do enjoy your conifers! Not a successful plant locally here with borer being a problem. I love seeing all the different varieties you’ve had planted though you still don’t have two of my favourites, Sciadopitys verticillata, the Japanese Umbrella Pine, & Picea smithiana, the weeping Himalayan Spruce. Too hard to get hold of? Or just don’t like them yourselves?
I just love watching those big trees going in. Instant gratification. Plus they are so beautiful.
