If you go to the garden today, you’re in for a BIG surprise! 😆

One of plants flowered that I had no idea produced blooms! This inspired me to do a little more research about it and then make a vintage – themed botanical specimen page.

The surprise bloomer is called Pig Face and produces edible fruits utilised but the first people of Australia. The fruits are sometimes called beach bananas! The plants play an important role reducing sand erosion along our shores.

I made the specimen labels using Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Field Notes stamps.

The dried flowers were from Claire @ofsixwithlove on IG

Lots of fun videos coming soon…stay tuned!

  1. Always beautiful and so poetry… can I ask you where did you find your typewriter charm’s ?

  2. I love the vintage look, so pretty! And my favourite flower was the beach banana because I have never seen one before. I love jacaranda trees too, although they are not common here!
