Curious why you pulled the begonias rather than cut them at the base to let the roots decompose and help your soil structure? Did they have bug or disease issues? It could also just be a gardener clean out preference. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and inspiration. You guys give so much to so many by sharing your garden and knowledge.
So glad to see the chicken coop again! Yes, I did sigh in relief! Especially with all the finishing work around the Hartly. Looks so much better! Now it's my turn in the garden. Inspired once again!
If you want to try sunpatiens again I have a tip for you. In my garden they like a lot of water, so if you choose to grow them make sure they have a ton of water.

I wanted to cry when the weeping cherry was cut. It was SO adorable with the coop.
The formal garden is beautiful towards the end of the video. I find nothing odd about that space it's perfect.
What happened to the artichokes that were planted by the chicken coop? Did they already succumb to the frost? Mine are still growing but we haven't had our first frost yet. ~ Lisa
YOU CUT IT OUT?! 😱😱😱. Poor weeping cherry! Was is it impossible to save it and give it to someone else?! Laura it is my first time that im disappointed in something that you do. I know that is your property and our opinion is none of our business, but killing a tree that looks perfect and healthy just like that… come on really. At least you should have tried to dig it up. The intention of saving it is what counts.
