  1. Sharing this Bible verse below:
ISAIAH 46:6 – "EVEN TO YOUR OLD AGE I AM HE, AND TO YOUR GRAY HAIRS, I WILL CARRY YOU! I HAVE MADE, AND I WILL BEAR, I WILL CARRY AND WILL SAVE!"
From the mountains of Western North Carolina, Shalom, a retired Army veteran.
Thank you for your service to your female guest on your channel from a fellow veteran, Amen. (I am a new subscriber to you channel)
GBY all & have a blessed, beautiful, wonderful, glorious day with our Holy Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!

  2. I was an army medic. Great to hear this story. I love raised gardening. We are adding 3 new raised bed in the spring. Right now have 3 raised beds and have a nice fall garden.

  3. Wow, that was so very touching. I love the story. This reminds me so much of a book written by Po Bronson years ago when he travelled the United States and stopped to talk with strangers along the way – and then writing about their stories. I hope you do more of these videos Kaye!

  4. Hi Gina! So nice to meet you. I will say I appreciate you assisting Kaye. So kind of you! Kaye is great, and fun to watch. If I lived closer I’d help too….😊

  5. Omg Gina! My Mom and I too used to fight my Mom. As I grew, I knew she was right! Everything came together as I grew up. At times just admitting she was right made me mad! LOL…But as she aged she came to me to live until her death, right here in my home in my bedroom in my bed. I asked for forgiveness (before she became Ill) and absolutely loved every minute having here in my home. And when she couldn’t do for herself, I did. We changed roles! I became her Mom, and she my daughter. Oh dear, I’m crying now. How I loved and miss those days. My Mom said she forgave me, but I know she never held anything against me. She was a wonderful women in her own right and the best Mom anyone could have. I miss her and talk to a lot. I’m proud how she raised me. All my brothers and sister are good people. Hard working and at one time or another one of us is helping someone. It’s good, all good.

  6. Awesome interview Jeanna – so glad you were able to finally meet Kaye at her homestead and help her out. Each of us has a different journey in life and yours is fascinating. Hope you get some awesome tips from Kaye too!

  7. Thank you for sharing, Gina! I, too, took care of my mother in my home during the last 8 months of her life and our relationship was rekindled💕💕

  8. Kind of reminds me of my mom. Some moms do indeed teach us to be tough. My mom lost her mother when she was a young child. She had to cook and clean for all her siblings and her father who was an alcoholic. She married my dad at 15 years old. He was the only man she ever loved and he died at 54. She was left behind to figure out how to do everything. She never married again and passed away at 90 last year.

  9. Such a treasured friend! Great interview. It's wonderful she came to visit and I hope you get a chance to visit her as well.
Mother daughter relationships can be so complicated. I had similar attitudes towards mine (and revelations after having my own children). I got to spend those last months caring for my mom too and I hope one of my daughters will do the same for me when my time comes. Full circle. Prayers for safe travel back home!

  10. Strong, honest gal. Kaye, you are your own category of homesteaders. Nice to see she appreciates the qualities you bring on your channel.

  11. Great interview with a fellow TarHeel! I’m originally from NC and she is a kindred spirit!! Glad you have a friend who is a helper, too!! ♥️🙏🏼♥️
