For former Vogue fashion director Lucinda Chambers, the decoration of her west London house has been a 30-year evolution, choosing and adjusting the elements of each room as she would her clothes – with a sense of colour, character and above all stylish comfort. As fashion icon Diana Vreeland famously wrote, ‘the eye has to travel’, and in Lucinda’s house, there are endless things to peer and marvel at. ‘I am a bit of a tart in that I really like anything,” she says. “I am as happy with two cheap cushions as I am with an expensive piece of art. I don’t care where something comes from, as long as it is life-enhancing.”

It is cozy and full of history and charm. Fabulous 🍃
Adore this fabulously bonkers house!
Very tasteful eclectic maximalism. People usually get it really, really wrong. Not even kitsch – just pure style-decor-vomit. Taste, you are either born with it and are good at decoration and styling, or you hire a professional to do it.
The house really looks and feels like her, and vice versa. There are houses and house owners, and then there are cases like this: homes and it's tenants.

A little too busy. Too much makes it look too cluttered
She is lovely and interesting, but the home is too chaotic for me.
There are so many beautiful things to see but the cuts are far too quick, I had to slow the video down to take everything in. It was exhausting for my eyes.
Such a great home with so many great ideas. I love a colorful lived-in home with stories to tell and things to look at where you feel welcome right away. I highly dislike the beige and white and "everything the same as everyone else's" style that too many people seem to be into today. This brings me such joy. You can tell her personal style translated to the home.
I kept having to pause to look at the stunning details. I'll definitely have to take some screencaps for inspiration. Thanks so much for sharing.
Love your personality-filled house, Lucinda, perhaps because I always loved your personality. Love, Kit
Colour is the food of life 👌🏻💕
More is more
This home looks so comfortable. There's no pretention in it. Her son chose those colours well, love that room.
A woman after my own heart. I love my white walls, but I also love my travel adventures, art, and books. My house is not quite this stylish but it reflects me. Bougie hippie historical style.

Gorgeous, just gorgeous!
As mentioned by a previous reviewer, grey seems to rule in many room schemes nowadays. I do like grey, but not to the extent of wanting it wall-to-wall. This home is lovely and colourful, as well as fascinating and quirky. I found this video very therapeutic and inspiring.
I will take a cosy house over impractical uncomfortable aesthetics
The older I get and the more I learn about design the notion of comfort has been more important.
Your house is so cozy and full of colour! 💖❤️💖🥰 Love from Marseilles ☀️☀️☀️
Amazing home!
