I built this for use on my narrowboat. On a sunny day it’s ready for a warm shower in less than 2 hours.
Ideal to take with you in the car even!

It's working so well!
Today it provided hot water for 3 loads of laundry, dish washing, a shave, I washed my hair and had a full shower. Despite flushing another 10 liters away when I forgot the washing machine was on empty setting while doing the third wash fill:-)
Great idea definitely going to try it
Love the flexibility and simplicity of this system.
I've used a something similar on my campervan. I've attached a couple of 4'' (110mm) black drainage tubes (3M long) on the sides of the roof/gutter – one each side so I can better catch the sun. Theoretically, each tube can carry up to 28 litres, so I'm mindful of the weight (28kgs) and the stress this can put on the bodywork. I was thinking this might arrangement might work well on a narrowboat.
I've also added Schrader valves, so I can have a pressurised 'power shower' too! 😁
Hope to see some more content from you as I am working my way through your videos, and really enjoy them!
