This video details how I prepare my containers for container gardening. I use fabric grow bags of different sizes for my containers because they hold moisture well while providing good drainage and airflow to the soil. The basic ingredients are a blend of topsoil, composted manure and various organic fertilizers. I will use these containers for tomatoes, tomatillos, zucchini, and several other vegetables as the season progresses.

Nice video! Heard really good thing about those grow bags. I did a similar mix in my garden bed.
Pretty much what I did…..But I also added Peat Moss, Perlite and Garden Lime.

Does the store bought bags of soil have the live soil biology in them?

Nice video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I grow tomatoes that can exceed 8 feet in height. That said are these grow bags, which are only 16 inches deep, deep enough to sustain the root growth of such plants? I am growing Early Girl, Big Beef, Super Sweet 100, and Sun Gold varieties.
