I live on the island of Kauai and rent a house with a small backyard. The owner said I could have a garden around the perimeter of the lawn but nothing could go in the ground. I love to garden and with so little space and onlya few hours of good sun per day I had to go vertical!

  1. Love the Tomato growing you are doing, where i live i don't have a garden as such meaning grass, it's concrete slabs and so we do our fruit and veg growing in containers like you, but the last two years we stopped with the containers and went onto raised beds, which in the way i made ours were waist high so no bending. The Strawberries which we grew went crazy, and so i had to change to a new bed which was bigger the following year. I could go on and on with this but i don't think YouTube would be happy, drop me an email and we can talk more. New Subscriber now seeing as i only just found your channel.

  2. Thanks for sharing your experience. How do you keep birds or animals eating tomatoes before I get to enjoy my harvest? I live in Oahu and I couldn't keep up with cherry tomatoes plants in my containers so I just have up.

  3. Unless those are food grade buckets you may be leaching chemicals into your food from the plastic. Best to see if a local grocery bakery has any icing pails which are food grade.

  4. Do you have a video on how to make the self watering buckets? How did you connect the wood beam to the buckets? Thanks
