English Peas, aka sweet peas, are one of the vegetables we struggle with growing. It’s either too hot or too cold down here most of the time, and the weather rarely cooperates.

A recap winner and loser video would be great
My 4 year old grandson loves to go into my garden and eat my peas I let him eat all he wants to eat! Limits my harvest
Good video! Yes, we usually do better with peas in the spring. Dry-ish and hot up here in IN in Aug and Sept making it pretty hard getting fall stuff started off. Then our falls get colder pretty fast or you can say not real good growing weather, usually. Like you say once in a few years. I watered some corn one fall several nights keeping the frost off. Worked great. (That's a good little tune your dad sings at the end of your videos) I figured out who it is sing it.
Haha…no one's giving away English peas! I know that's right. I struggle growing them too. This spring I was able to grew a few but it warmed up too quick to preserve any. My boys call them garden candy.

Fermented radishes is awesome!
My fall peas failed this year. A bunny and a cut worm got them, and the frost came a little early to prevent them from coming back. I will be starting them again in doors mid Jan and starting out doors in Feb here. Last spring had amazing peas. I would really like to see a seed review of the year.
Those radishes make excellent kimchi, leaves and all. Obviously only use the good green leaves.
Try growing snap peas- you can eat the pods too so you get more for your effort.

Have you used peanuts for a cover crop? Would it be productive to use peanuts as a dual purpose cover crop like the radishes in this episode?

When will you plant potatoes?
I live in the PNW and grew rye as a cover crop.
It fed the soil and decomposes nicely.
Would love to grow daikon!

I enjoyed that! It’s nice to see you get that pea harvest. Anyone who has never tasted peas fresh from the garden would be utterly shocked at how sweet and delicious they are! I have been growing mine as a succession crop following bush beans. I’m making my seed order today (free shipping) and I will be looking for a fast maturing sugar snap pea for next season. I’m so busy with wine making when the peas are ready I don’t always get them all picked and shelled, the sugar snaps should make the whole process easier and be great in stir fries!

Just recently stumbled across this channel and I'm glad I did because I'm in the same general area as you are and I was aware of the row by row show and hoss but I felt like it was more of a product push basically and no offense by saying that bc I was a fan but this channel is more of what I was hoping for with more of a growing guide and example type with information
