  1. Hello.. I'm in Zone 7 and want to pot a Japanese maple… can it be left out in freezing cold?

  2. Can we use this Japanese maple in our backyard? and also what is the maximum height and width of this tree?

  3. This spring, after the cold winter in Canada, I just realized that two of my 4 backyard Japanese maple died. A dragon red Japanese maple and a shrimp Japanese maple. Now I’m concerned about the other two. I’ve been watching some videos I some address that the damage can be caused by fungus. How can I know what killed them? In case it is fungus, how can I get rid of it?

  4. Disappointed that there’s no mention of the yellow leaf with red edging variety that’s shown on the thumbnail picture that made me open this video in the first place! What variety of maple is that?

  5. Actually the Japanese call Japanese maples "momiji" while western maples like a sugar maple are referred to as "kaede" but momiji is how they call their own maples.

  6. Haha your surname Fontaine, as In carpi is betulus frans Fontaine šŸ˜‰ very upright in itself

  7. First if all…That's what's up on the stuttering and going with it…Great Job…Subscribed and I will be following and looking fur some Trees for Family and Myself…HURA

  8. Good idea to make a tree video that shows off trees while they're completely bare 🤣

  9. I took some Japanese Maple cuttings on 30th March and have just made a new video on their progress. I would love to try growing them from seed one day. I always like to get a surprise variety of JM and enjoy seeing them return every year after the winter. All the best.
