Well behaved birds (?) eat sunflower seeds from one side.

  1. UnoriginalUse

I have a few goldfinches every year who feast on sunflowers very neatly. Very cheeky birds as well, will just let me get up close to watch them.

  2. My sunflower has been eaten like that, too!

I have now cut them down and removed the seeds manually. We had a lot of rain in a short amount of time and my sunflowers started to mold. This way I can still save some seeds. They’ll go in a bird feeder where the sunflowers were, so hopefully the birds figure it out.
