A Scottsdale, Arizona-headquartered coffee shop company is expanding its footprint in Idaho’s Treasure Valley.

Black Rock Coffee Bar, with eight locations throughout Boise, Caldwell and Meridian, is opening a ninth shop in Garden City.
Scheduled to open on April 2 at 7906 W. Marigold Street, Ste. 100, in Garden City, the business specializes in specialty coffees, teas, smoothies and energy drinks. The new shop will be the first in Garden City, the company said.
“We’re thrilled to continue growing in Idaho and to bring the Black Rock experience to even more communities across the state,” said Mark Davis, CEO of Black Rock.
The company started as family-owned in 2008 in Oregon and has since expanded to more than 180 locations in seven states.
To celebrate the new opening, the Garden City location will feature different promotions for six consecutive days. On its opening day, April 2, there will be free 16 oz drinks; buy one, get one free drinks will be featured on April 3; April 4 will feature 50% off food items; limited edition stickers with purchases while supplies last will be available April 5; free T-shirts with purchases with purchases while supplies last will be available on April 6; and April 7 will have a promotion for $2 off any size of drink.
“Each new store represents an opportunity to connect with the community and share our passion for great coffee and exceptional service,” Davis said.
