Not sure if this is the right group to ask in, so I apologize if it isn't.
I recently bought a house with some pear trees that were not tended to very well in the past.
I picked these off of a tree today to check their quality. I don't see any issues with them personally, but wanted to be sure, especially since many of the other pears look like they may have bugs in them (based on outer blemishes).
Do they look safe to eat?

They look 100% fine.
The unblemished fruits you see at the store get that way because of frequent fungicide and insecticide use. It’s not natural but is done because people have been convinced unblemished fruit is “superior.”
A little scab or nibble isn’t going to hurt you.
These are definitely edible pears. Maybe a tad under-ripe. Most pears are picked mature and green, and allowed to ripen off the tree…this prevents “grit cells” from forming.
