UPDATE: As of 8:30 p.m. the Garden State Parkway reopened in the area of the crash with delays.
A serious crash has closed all lanes on a large portion of the Garden State Parkway northbound in Ocean County and caused a multi-mile delay, Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy told NJ.com.
The crash happened in the area of Exit 74 near mile marker 75, according to 511NJ.
The parkway is closed for several miles until the area of Exit 77 while authorities investigate and clear the crash. Traffic is delayed as far south as Exit 69 in Waretown as of 7:50 p.m.

It was unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
The New Jersey State Police did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
