The Planter That Makes Store-Bought Ones Look Sad | Free Plans

Several sad little pots weren’t cutting it — so I built a two-tier cedar planter with a built-in lattice that fits almost any wall.

Adjustable to any length and height — resize it to fit your space.
In this build I’ll walk you through the whole thing start to finish: cutting the cedar, building the support legs, assembling both planter boxes with pocket holes, mounting the lattice, and prepping it for planting with proper drainage. Whether you’re into woodworking, gardening, or both, this one’s beginner-friendly and only takes a weekend.
🛠️ WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Cedar boards, deck screws (2½”, 1⅝”, 1½”), 1″ stainless steel brad nails, pocket hole jig, miter saw, table saw, drill, garden fabric, post caps. (Full material list + exact cut list in the free plans.)
