Pumpkins, luminous displays, sculptural splendor, a woodsy grove full of whimsy and wonder: The late-in-the-year evening extravaganzas at Descanso Gardens have become beloved traditions for thousands of Southern Californians.

But you don’t have to wait to feel a little bit of the wonder long before “Carved” opens in the fall and “Enchanted Forest of Light” begins to shimmer around Thanksgiving: You can secure your ticket starting July 1, 2026.

A lovely twist this time around? Descanso Gardens is introducing Anytime Tickets, giving fans the opportunity to “lock in a price now and choose their evening later.”

Adding to the loveliness? If you purchase in July, you’ll save. Anytime Ticket prices are expected to increase in August.

This illuminated offering is part of a celebratory season at the lush, oak-lined location: It’s the tenth anniversary of “Enchanted Forest of Light,” an ethereal display that pays homage to the holidays with a nature-strong aura.

“Ten years of ‘Enchanted Forest of Light’ is something we could not be more proud of, and this season we’re celebrating with changes and surprises that will delight both longtime fans and first-time visitors,” said Juliann Rooke, CEO of Descanso Gardens.

“Buying tickets early means the best price and the most flexibility.”

“And while you’re planning ahead for the holidays, we hope you’ll also come out this summer. There is no better place to spend a warm evening than Descanso with great food, live music, and nature all around you.”

“Carved” features pumpkins, art displays, a Día de los Muertos ofrenda, and other autumnal sights that bewitch and up the garden’s beauty. It will glimmer from Oct. 1 through Nov. 2 in 2026.

“Enchanted of Light” is known for artist Tom Fruin’s striking stained glass houses and a holiday market; make sure to stop by the Japanese Garden to enjoy the Giant Koi, a tribute to the garden’s 60th anniversary. The evening events open Nov. 22 and conclude Jan. 9, 2027.
