This leafy stem has been coiled and pinned for about 2 weeks. I keep a plastic bag over it with an elastic band to keep the soil humid. I worry that this isn't good for the plant long term, but it seems to have propped some happy little fuzzy roots and I've not noticed any mold or root rot… the leaves look happy too, save for a couple of very small brown spots, and I've spotted new growth on there too.
Any advice for keeping this plant happy? I'm new to plants so whilst this seems to be going great currently, I wonder if I need to do anything differently going forward.

Why do the roots become fuzzy?
My pothos (planted in soil) had some roots that were more extended than the others so I put them in a water container. Few days later the roots turned fuzzy!
