Did it bloom in the second year? I started some from seed this year and they’re still quite small.

wow, congratulations! I just had one Bloom too, even though i bought it as a small leafy plant from the garden center 🙂
I just planted a bazillion lupines. Their leaves randomly curl up like the ones in that photo. Still can’t figure out if it’s too much water, or not enough. Soil feels the exact same from plant to plant. 🤷♂️

Ours are doing great too. I hit two plants at a yard sale last year. They must’ve been first years bc they never bloomed. But this year they most certainly are blooming
I have about 20million of them in my yard. They take over if you’re not careful.
